It finally happened as Penta has won his first singles title in WWE after beating Dominik Mysterio on Raw. It was the big title match that was advertised for Raw. Finn Balor and JD Mcdonagh were not seeing eye to eye for the whole match. Penta was focused on the task and Dominik Mysterio had said that he will do this on his own. This was a big call but it was the right one. This one decision by Triple H will make WrestleMania 42 interesting and must see.

Penta is The Intercontinental Champion
It was Penta vs Dominik Mysterio for the Intercontinental Championship on Raw. This match has been months in the making. Dominik Mysterio has been ducking Penta and giving excuse after excuse as to why he cannot defend the title. However, Adam Pierce forced Dominik Mysterio to defend the title. This was a very good wrestling match and this showed how far Dominik Mysterio has come in WWE as a professional wrestler. He was matching Penta move for move which is not easy. Both men must have a tremendous amount of respect for each other backstage. Finn Balor and JD Mcdonagh were ringside but they were just watching and doing nothing as Dominik Mysterio had asked them to.
Penta at one point in the match hit his finisher Penta Driver but Dominik Mysterio kicked out at 2. This was shocking and Dominik Mysterio hit the three amigos as a tribute to Eddie Guerrero. During the end of the match JD Mcdonagh was getting restless seeing Dominik Mysterio close to losing the title. Penta took out Finn Balor and JD Mcdonagh. Dominik Mysterio was distracted and Penta hit another Finisher and this time he won the match and became the new Intercontinental Champion. This was the first singles title for Penta ever since debuting in WWE over a year ago. All of the hard work he put in has paid off. He will go into WrestleMania 42 as the champion and most probably have a Ladder match for the championship.
This loss means that Dominik Mysterio is free and he and Finn Balor can start the feud and build to their Long awaited match at WrestleMania 42. The tension has been building between these two for months and it will finally come to a head. The women of The Judgement Day will obviously side with Dominik Mysterio as they are all heels. Finn Balor will be the babyface of the feud. This will be a big match that both men will get to have at WrestleMania 42. Liv Morgan will be facing Stephanie Vaquer at WrestleMania 42 and Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez will be in the tag team division. JD Mcdonagh will be in the corner for Dominik Mysterio.
