NXT Homecoming will be the biggest NXT show of the year so far on 16th September 2025. This show will be a tribute to the 11 years of NXT. There have already been some top tier WWE main roster stars that have been announced for the show such as Rhea Ripley, Charlotte Flair, Tiffany Stratton, Alexa Bliss, Carmelo Hayes etc. There are sure to be some big surprises that Shawn Michaels will have up his sleeve.
Let’s look at the Surprises to expect at NXT Homecoming 2025
Chelsea Green and Secret Hervice
Chelsea Green is the most obvious surprise of the show. She has not been announced for the show. Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss will defend their tag team titles at this event. Therefore it can be expected that Chelsea Green and Secret Hervice will show up to NXT Homecoming. They will be welcomed at Full Sail University with open arms. Chelsea Green and Secret Hervice are due for a women’s tag team title match and they might appear to see who they will face. This match could be made official for WWE Wrestlepalooza.
Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch
This is a surprise that would shock the world. They are 2 of the biggest names from NXT in the main roster. Seth Rollins is the first NXT champion and he and Becky Lynch are in a feud against CM Punk and the returning AJ Lee. They could appear to cut a promo and if that happens then the NXT fans will lose their minds. They would have a tough time being heels at Full Sail University. This would send a message that WWE is not playing with NXT. This would also further the feud going into WWE Wrestlepalooza.
The Miz
The Miz is not a home grown NXT superstar but he was the mentor for Daniel Bryan in 2014. He was integral to the starting of NXT. It will be a good full circle moment for Miz to come back to NXT. Carmelo Hayes will be in a match teaming with Trick Williams. The Miz could arrive to keep an eye on his student. These two have built a good storyline at SmackDown. Carmelo Hayes is slowly turning babyface and The Miz does not want that to happen. It would add more star power to NXT Homecoming.
Iyo Sky and Asuka
Stephanie Vaquer and Rhea Ripley are in a big match at NXT Homecoming. Iyo Sky has a storyline with both of these women in WWE. She will face Stephanie Vaquer at WWE Wrestlepalooza for the Women’s World Championship. She has a deep friendship with Rhea and Asuka is not a fan of that. Asuka could also crash the party and arrive at NXT where she has been the greatest NXT Champion of all time. The NXT fans will go crazy seeing these two women and it would make storyline sense. NXT Homecoming will be about the women’s division of WWE and showing it to the world.
Nia Jax and Jade Cargill
Tiffany Stratton will also be teaming with Rhea Ripley and Stephanie Vaquer. And Tiffany Stratton is in a feud with both Nia Jax and Jade Cargill. She had a very good match against Jade Cargill on SmackDown but Nia Jax attacked both women. It looks like it is going to be a triple threat match at WWE Wrestlepalooza. The fans will be excited to see Jade Cargill in NXT and Nia Jax will return home. WWE can use this show for multiple purposes which could be to have an unforgettable NXT Homecoming and promote WWE Wrestlepalooza.
