John Cena is a 16 time World Champion In WWE. He is tied with Ric Flair for this record. He has been the face of WWE for over 20 years and he will compete in his last WrestleMania Match against Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 41. The storyline for the 17th Championship has been a rollercoaster ride and the destination is just a few days away on April 20th in Las Vegas.

John Cena won his 16th World Championship at Royal Rumble 2017. He won it in an instant classic against AJ Styles. In that match both men did not go outside of the ring and this was a match that was one of the best of John Cena’s career. After that he has not won a lot of singles matches. He then went to Hollywood and he stopped becoming a full time wrestler during the pandemic. He competed against Roman Reigns at SummerSlam 2021 but he was beaten easily. John Cena has been beaten by Solo Sikoa, Austin Theory etc. The fans were just enjoying every appearance they were getting because they knew that John Cena is in Hollywood and therefore there will be only a few appearances throughout the year.
We cut to the 2024 Money in the bank where John Cena came out and said that he will wrestle his last in 2025. It will be a farewell tour and he will go from January to December. John Cena appeared on the first Raw on Netflix and said that he will win the Royal Rumble and main event WrestleMania. He did not win the Royal Rumble but in the Royal Rumble post conference there was a change in demeanour as he said that he will declare for the Elimination Chamber and that is best for business. This was strange but nobody thought much of it and even CM Punk said that he is okay with John Cena staking claim as he is the greatest of all time.
At the Elimination Chamber, John Cena entered like before chatting with Stu. However the way he won the match again raised eyebrows as he took advantage of an opportunity that he would not have done before. He made CM Punk pass out. He was in the main event of WrestleMania 41. The Rock came out and asked Cody Rhodes to sell his soul but Cody said no. The unthinkable followed next as John Cena turned Heel and he beat Cody Rhodes so badly that it made him bleed. John Cena sold out to The Rock. John Cena appeared on 3 Raw shows in Europe and he blamed it all on the fans. He and Cody Rhodes battled it out on the microphone in London. At WrestleMania 41, John Cena will have The Rock in his corner. The Rock is the Final Boss. Cody Rhodes looks vulnerable and the 17th World Championship is there for the taking.
The odds favour John Cena but this is WWE and anything can happen like a glass can shatter and everything will change. The Betting Odds are also in favour of John Cena winning his 17th World Championship. It will an incredible match and Triple H would want to create the magic of WrestleMania 40 all over again. John Cena will appear on the final SmackDown before WrestleMania Saturday.
