Roman Reigns vs Jacob Fatu for World Heavyweight Championship
The main event for WWE Backlash has been set. It will be for the World Heavyweight Championship. Roman Reigns won the belt at WrestleMania 42 and he promised that he will be a full time champion. His first feud after winning the title is against Jacob Fatu. This has had 2 weeks of build and it has been great. The family dynamic is strong and The Bloodline Cinema segments are back. This will be a physical match and Roman Reigns will not want any help to win this match as he is a babyface. This will be a one and done feud and Jacob Fatu will join The Bloodline.
Iyo Sky vs Asuka
This match has finally been made official for WWE Backlash. It will be Iyo Sky vs Asuka. However the elephant in the room has to be talked about. The release of Kairi Sane has put a dampener to the mood for this match. The WWE fans want Kairi Sane back in WWE and this would be the perfect match to bring her back. Iyo Sky vs Asuka will be a special match as both are two of the best wrestlers on the planet. They have told a great story of Iyo Sky being the underdog. She will remind everyone why she is one of the best.
Seth Rollins vs Bron Breakker
The first Seth Rollins vs Bron Breakker Match has been made official. It will take place at WWE Backlash. This is a feud that has just started. The first match will not be their last match. They had a great promo exchange on Raw where they said some nasty things to each other. Bron said that Seth Rollins is the second best wrestler in the world. Seth Rollins told Bron Breakker that he is number 2 in his own family. This will be a big test for Bron Breakker to see how ready he is after his injury. WWE Backlash is having the matches that were supposed to be at WrestleMania 42.
Liv Morgan vs Stephanie Vaquer for Women’s World Championship
The rematch will take place at WWE Backlash. It is clear from WrestleMania 42 and the Raws after that Stephanie Vaquer has not let go of her title so easily. Liv Morgan will have to defend her title against LA Primera. This match will be a more physical match and a longer match than WrestleMania 42. They will want to have a much better match. Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez will be on the side of Liv Morgan as always. This will be the second women’s match on the show.
Trick Williams vs Sami Zayn for United States Championship
Just like Liv Morgan vs Stephanie Vaquer this Feud for the United States Championship is far from over. Sami Zayn has turned heel and now a proper match can take place where both men have their characters set. Trick Williams is the babyface champion and he will look once and for all put Sami Zayn behind him and look into the future. Sami Zayn can finally embrace the boos of the crowd as a heel. This match will be longer than the 7 minutes they had at WrestleMania 42.
