WWE Backlash 2026 is the first WWE PPV after WrestleMania 42. WWE would want to make a statement and deliver the goods at this show. There will be surprises at this show as has been the case with all WWE PPVs. There are 5 Matches at this show and each one of them will deliver in their own way.
Let’s look at the Surprises to expect at WWE Backlash 2026
Kairi Sane
This is probably the most emotional surprise that could happen at this show. She was released from her WWE contract a week ago. The WWE fans were angry and they demanded answers. There is a match between Iyo Sky vs Asuka at WWE Backlash. WWE would want to have Kairi Sane back for one night and finish her part in the storyline. Kairi Sane will get the biggest pop of the night if that happens. It would be ideal if Kairi Sane returns to WWE at WWE Backlash.
Oba Femi
There is a tag team match that is taking place at WWE Backlash. It will be The Miz and Kit Wilson vs Danhousen and a mystery tag team partner. The mystery tag team partner could be Oba Femi. This would be the best case scenario because this would mean that Oba Femi will be at WWE Backlash and the 12,000 fans will get to strut to his music. Danhousen and Oba Femi tag teaming would be the perfect collision of two worlds within WWE.
The Usos
Roman Reigns has told The Usos to not interfere in his match against Jacob Fatu at WWE Backlash. He is a babyface now and he doesn’t need help to win his Matches. However The Usos are not likely to take this advice. They will most likely show up and be a surprise to both Roman Reigns and the fans. They might not directly interfere in the match but they will make their presence felt. This could make for interesting WWE TV.
