The 12th September episode of NXT was one of the most important in history and this episode was one where history was made in more ways than one. There were 2 colossal main Events and both delivered. Ilja Dragunov was facing Wes Lee in a number 1 contenders match and Becky Lynch was taking on Tiffany Straton for the NXT Women’s Championship.

Ilja Dragunov beat Wes Lee
This was a number one contenders match for the NXT Championship and the 2 best wrestlers in NXT were going for it. It was Ilja Dragunov vs Wes Lee. The match started off hot and it just got better and better as both superstars looked like they would be the ones to get the win. This was a long 15 minute match and in the end it was Ilja Dragunov who beat Wes Lee and became the number 1 contender for the NXT Championship at NXT No Mercy. It was shown that Wes Lee had packed his bags and was leaving NXT.
Lyra Valkaria beat Dana Brooke
This was a match that was added in the show and this was a match that was the showing of Lyra Valkaria. Dana Brooke has been in NXT for a while and here as well she has not been able to find a character which works. Lyra Valkaria in a short period of time has become one of the most talented young women in NXT and she beat Dana Brooke after a good match.
Tyler Bate beat Axiom
This was another match in the Heritage Cup tournament and this was a banger. The fans expected nothing less as these 2 extremely talented wrestlers went out in front of the most viewers of NXT and showed out. Tyler Bate is a WWE veteran and Axiom was having one of his biggest Matches and he delivered. The fans were cheering for both and they had a great 10 minutes match and in the end it was Tyler Bate who won the match.
Nathan Frazer beat Akira Tozawa
This was yet another match at this show which was for the Heritage Cup tournament. Nathan Frazer has followed in the footsteps of Seth Rollins and he has a very bright future in WWE . This match was one of the best matches of the show as both men showed what they are capable of. It was great to see Akira Tozawa shine in the spotlight and show his wrestling skills. Becky Lynch beat Tiffany Straton for NXT Women’s Championship
This was again one of the best women’s Matches of the year. This was easily the biggest match in the young career of Tiffany Straton and she knew she had to deliver as millions of people were watching her. She went out there and gave the best performance of her life. Becky Lynch was great as usual and she helped Tiffany Straton have an unbelievable 5 star match. Tiffany Straton did not get buried because everyone has seen how good she is and she will win many more Championships in the future. Becky Lynch is a Grand Slam Champion and this match went on for 20 minutes.
