WWE Raw Day 1 was held on the 1st of January and the show was held in San Diego California and it was an incredible show. The first show of the year and Triple H made a statement and there was one big talking point from this show. This show set the tone for the rest of 2024 and the women were showcased in a very big way. More than 11,000 fans were in the arena and they were loud.

Nia Jax beat Becky Lynch
The first match of the night was between Nia Jax vs Becky Lynch. This match was 5 years in the making and Becky Lynch wanted Revenge and she wanted to show Nia Jax that her punch is not what made her a star. This was a very good match between 2 women at the top of their game and they showed that a 12 minute match can be an absolute banger. Nia Jax had her best match in years and she best Becky Lynch clean to get momentum Ahead of the Royal Rumble.
The Awesome Truth beat The Judgement Day
This was a tag team match featuring 2 great tag teams and one team had JD McDonough and Dominik Mysterio of The Judgement Day and the other team was uniting after a decade of The Miz and R Truth. This was a good tag team match and this match was made after a segment on Miz TV. This was an 8 minute match and in the end Awesome Truth won the match. R Truth is the best member of The Judgement Day.
Rhea Ripley beat Ivy Nile for Women’s World Championship
The next match was the second best match of the night and the second out of the 3 women’s matches on the show. This was the biggest match in the career of Ivy Nile and she delivered her best match and she was looking like she was on the level of Rhea Ripley. Rhea Ripley again showed that she is the best on Raw and they had a 13 minutes barn burner and this match raised the prestige of the Women’s World Championship. Rhea Ripley won the match and she marched ahead on the road to WrestleMania.

The Rock Returns on Raw Day 1 and electrifies the crowd
Next was the segment with a former WWE Champion and then Jinder Mahal came out. The fans were incredibly disappointed and they were booing him but it was all a set-up to something greater. He ran his mouth and then the music of The Rock hit and the crowd went ballistic and the pop was loud. He roasted Jinder Mahal on the microphone and he even made fun of himself. He then hit The Rock Bottom and The People’s Elbow. Then he gave the most chilling line when he said that when he goes out to eat whether he should sit at the Head of the Table.
Seth Rollins beat Drew McIntyre for World Heavyweight Championship
This was the main event of the show and it was between Seth Rollins vs Drew McIntyre. This was a highly anticipated rematch and WWE gave them time to tell a great story and have a great match. They had an 18 minutes classic in which there was everything from great Wrestling to The Judgement Day being involved and Damian Priest trying to cash in his Money in the bank contract. They got the last half hour and when the show was over it was Seth Rollins with the World Heavyweight Championship.
