WrestleMania 42 is the biggest WWE event of the year. WWE has 13 Matches that they will present at the event. There will be surprises that will be dispersed throughout the show. Ticket Sales have been low and they would want 60,000 fans for both nights of WrestleMania 42. WrestleMania 42 will take place on 18th and 19th April 2026.
Let’s look at the Surprises to expect at WrestleMania 42
The Rock
The biggest surprise that could happen at WrestleMania 42 could be The Rock. The main event for WrestleMania 42 is CM Punk vs Roman Reigns and The Bloodline has been involved in the storyline. The Rock was not present at WrestleMania 41 and he would want to make up for that. WWE would want to surprise the fans and The Rock could align himself with Roman Reigns and stand him as the World Heavyweight Champion. He can be back as the Final Boss, The Rock and TKO Board member.
Stone Cold Steve Austin
Stone Cold Steve Austin would be a massive surprise at WrestleMania 42. He was there at WrestleMania 41 but he was involved in an accident with the fan. He could appear in the Cody Rhodes vs Randy Orton Match. Pat McAfee has inserted himself in the match and he is siding with Randy Orton. Cody Rhodes has no one with him and if Stone Cold Steve Austin comes out to help Cody Rhodes then the pop would be massive. It would immediately raise the prestige of the WrestleMania Saturday main event.
Paige
There is a match at WrestleMania 42 which is AJ Lee vs Becky Lynch for the Intercontinental Championship. AJ Lee has said that she would want to see Paige back in WWE. Paige has been Saraya in AEW and she won the AEW Women’s Championship. Paige has been training to get back in the ring. WrestleMania 42 would be the perfect stage for such a massive return. The Women’s Division could use Paige and she would be reunited with The Bella Twins and AJ Lee and the Divas Era.
Bianca Belair
Rhea Ripley will face Jade Cargill for the WWE Women’s Championship on the second night at WrestleMania 42. Bianca Belair has been out with an injury since WrestleMania 41 so it would have been one year to be exact. Bianca Belair returning at WrestleMania 42 would be a full circle moment and she would return after the match and confront Jade Cargill after the match. Bianca Belair is someone that is sorely missed and her addition to the SmackDown roster would boost the morale.
Bron Breakker
Seth Rollins will be facing Gunther at WrestleMania 42 Saturday. This match came together at the last moment. These two greats have made the WWE fans care about the match as it will be who is the best wrestler in the world. Bron has been out with injury for the last 4 months and he is cleared to return. WrestleMania 42 would be the ideal place to return and start a storyline with Seth Rollins going into the summer. WrestleMania 42 could be a show littered with surprises.
