WrestleMania 42 Sunday will take place on 19th April 2026. This will be the second and final night of WrestleMania 42 and this is the night that 7 Matches will take place. 6 of these have been officially announced and the 7th will be made official before the event takes place. There will be 2 women’s matches on this night and the main event between CM Punk vs Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship.

CM Punk vs Roman Reigns for World Heavyweight Championship
This will be the main event for WrestleMania 42 Sunday. It will be the second WrestleMania main event for CM Punk and his first WrestleMania main event which will be closing the entire show. This will be the 11th main event in the Incredible career of Roman Reigns. They have had a 3 month build to their WrestleMania Match. This road to WrestleMania has been a mixed bag as the first one month was absolutely incredible and both men were great on the microphone. It looked like the main event of WrestleMania. Then they tapered off and they involved The Usos which was not necessary. The promos got stale for the next 3 weeks. However they have managed to turn it around as they have been getting physical. There is still one show to go before WrestleMania 42. This will be a true Heavyweight clash and this should get 35 minutes.
Brock Lesnar vs Oba Femi
This feud has been single handedly the best built feud for the entirety of WrestleMania 42. It will be the clash of two of the strongest and the most feared men in WWE. Brock Lesnar is in the later stages of his career but he is still working at the top of his game and is looking like an unstoppable monster. He will probably have his last WrestleMania Match. Oba Femi will have his first WrestleMania Match and he has gotten more over than anyone in history in 3 months. He has the fans doing his dance at every arena. These two are doing this right and Oba Femi is getting to learn from the best possible man. This should at least be 10 minutes of pure destruction.
Jade Cargill vs Rhea Ripley for WWE Women’s Championship
One of the two women’s matches that will take place on this night is the match between Jade Cargill vs Rhea Ripley. The build to this match has not been ideal. The star power in this match is undeniable as both women are capable of having a match of the year contender. Rhea Ripley doesn’t know how to have a bad match at WrestleMania. She has had all time classics against Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, Iyo Sky, Bianca Belair among others. This will be her toughest test and the biggest match in the career of Jade Cargill. They need 20 minutes to turn this mid-fed into a Banger of a WrestleMania match.
Penta vs JD Mcdonagh vs Rey Mysterio vs Rusev vs Je’Von Evans vs Dragon Lee in Ladder Match for Intercontinental Championship
Between the two nights of WrestleMania 42, this is the one match that has all the professional wrestling fans excited. This is a six pack ladder match for the Intercontinental Championship. This is a return to the good old days of having a multi man ladder match for a title. The WWE superstars in this match can steal the show. There is the Intercontinental Champion Penta who has been one of the best WWE superstars in the past year. Then there is Rey Mysterio who was added at the last minute to add star power. Rusev will be the strongest man in this match. Dragon Lee, Je’Von Evans and JD Mcdonagh will want to prove to everyone that they deserve a big spot at WrestleMania 42. This match could steal the weekend if given 25 minutes.
Sami Zayn vs Trick Williams for United States Championship
The mid card titles in WWE will be defended on Sunday. The United States Championship Match will be a match that will have the babyface being booed like a heel and the heel being cheered loudly by the 50,000 crowd. Sami Zayn is one of the legends for WWE and he has main evented WrestleMania and he had a classic against Gunther at WrestleMania 40. Trick Williams will be performing at his very first WrestleMania show and he will get one of the loudest reactions of the night. This match will be 15 minutes and Sami Zayn needs to make a star out of Trick Williams at WrestleMania.
The Demon Finn Balor vs Dominik Mysterio
This was a match that has been building for more than a year. Dominik Mysterio has become the Intercontinental Champion and the AAA Mega Chanouon. That has changed the dynamic with Finn Balor. He thinks that he is the leader of The Judgement Day and he has Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez at his side. Finn Balor was getting nowhere as regular Finn Balor and it has been 3 years since The Demon was seen. At WrestleMania 42, The Demon Finn Balor will get the cinematic entrance. This will be a good match and Dominik Mysterio will try to steal the show.
Asuka vs Iyo Sky
This is the only match on the card that has not yet been officially announced but everything is pointing towards this being made official. WWE cannot leave out Asuka and Iyo Sky from the WrestleMania card. They have been involved in a storyline where Kairi Sane has been bullied by Asuka and Iyo Sky has been trying to make Kairi Sane understand her inner goodness. This is also a dream match for so many fans of Joshi wrestling. This match will be the best women’s match at WrestleMania 42. Iyo Sky is the best wrestler in the world. Asuka will be looking for her first win at WrestleMania. This could be the place where Kairi Sane turns babyface.
