The 2023 ICC ODI World Cup is just around the corner and the countdown has well and truly begun for the biggest tournament in cricket which comes every 4 years and is the most prestigious trophy. This year the World Cup is happening in India and it will take place in 10 Cities across India. There will be more than 45 Matches that will take place during the World Cup with the 10 best teams playing each other. There are a lot of matches to look forward to and not just India matches. 


Let’s look at the Top 5 Matched to look forward to at the 2023 ICC ODI World Cup


1) India vs Pakistan – 14th October


This Is easily the match that the whole world has been looking forward to ever since the schedule was announced. This match will happen on 14th October at the iconic Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. A crowd of over 1,30,000 will be at the stadium supporting the Indian team and the world will be watching. This will be the match where it will be the likes of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli vs Shaheen Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf and Naseem Shah. 2) England vs Australia – 4th November


This is the second most anticipated match of the World Cup and this match will also take place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. This match will be the arch rivals and both These teans will be 2 of the favorites to win the tournament. England are playing outstanding cricket and with the return of Ben Stokes In the squad with the likes of Jos Buttler, Moeen Ali, Mark Wood and so many others. Australia have David Warner, Steve Smith, Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc. It will be a battle of equals and the fans will be the ultimate winners.


3) India vs Australia – 8th October


At number 3 is the India vs Australia match which will happen in Chennai on the 8th of October. 5) New Zealand vs South Africa – 1st November


The 5th match in this list is a match that not a lot of people are talking about but more people should take note of this match. This is the match that produced one of the all time great World’ Cup semi-finals . This match will take place at the MCA Stadium in Pune. New Zealand are a very good team in every ICC tournament and they have Kane Williamson back and Tom Latham, Devon Conway with the bat and Tim Southee, Trent Boult and Lockie Ferguson with the ball. They also have Ish Sodhi with the spin bowling. And South Africa have Quinton De Kock, Reeza Heindricks, Rassie Van Der Dussen and Temba Bavuma with the bat and Kagiso Rabada, Lungi Ngidi and Anrich Nortje in fast bowling. It will be a great match
