Now it’s time to make the Top 10 best partnerships by India list in the shortest format of the game and even though the history of this format is the shortest among all the 3 formats of the game that does not mean it has a shortage of historic partnerships by Indian batters. There are plenty of them and making a top 10 list is difficult but it’s fun as well.

There have been many good batters for India in the shortest format of the game but only a handful of them have managed to make a significant impact and become legends of this format as well in such a short period of time. So, let’s look at the Top 10 best partnerships by India in T20IS


1. Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul (165 Runs): 


This was a match where the bowlers were just mere spectators and Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul were on a rampage that day as both of them hit 18 sixes combined and Rohit Sharma scored a century in a record 35 balls and KL Rahul scored a magnificent 89 runs and both of them absolutely decimated Sri Lanka that day.

 

2. Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan (160 Runs): 


Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan are one of the best pairs in the history of T20I cricket and for India they have stitched a lot of record partnerships and this was the best of the lot. Rohit Sharma made an amazing 97 runs and was ably supported by Shikhar Dhawan who made 74 runs as well.

 

3. Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan (158 Runs): 


And yet again the legendary pair of Rohit and Shikhar Dhawan did the best for India as they yet again made 158 runs for the first wicket and each of them got 80 valuable runs and helped India win the match against a very good New Zealand team.

 

4. KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma (140 Runs): 


These two great ball Strikers of the cricket ball came together in this match to put a hammering on the good bowling attack of Afghanistan and they both scored great scores of over 50+ and the fans loved it and India won that match.

 

5. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli (138 Runs): 


This match was the Rohit Sharma show for India as he was the lone warrior who made a simple sensational century and he was supported by Virat Kohli in their partnership who made 43 runs. India, sadly lost that match.

 

6. Gautam Gambhir and Virender Sehwag (136 Runs): 


This match is remembered for Yuvraj Singh and rightly so but no one should forget the great opening stand that these two batters provided India against England and laid a great platform for Yuvraj to unleash. Both of them made amazing half centuries.

 

7. Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul (135 Runs): 


The Indian batters were absolutely ruthless against West Indies in this match and the opening stand of these two destructive batters laid that foundation. Both Rohit and KL made batting look so easy that day scoring 71 and 91 respectively.

 

8. Virat Kohli and Suresh Raina (134 Runs): 


India were in a spot of bother against Australia in this match and then came Virat Kohli and Suresh Raina and both of them first stabilized the innings and then Virat Kohli went on to show why he is the best batter in the world and Suresh Raina as always played a useful innings for his nation.

 

9. Shikhar Dhawan and Rishabh Pant (130 Runs): 


This Amazing partnership between these two elegant left handed batters came when India was chasing a big score of over 180 and Shikhar Dhawan was on song from the start of the Innings but he needed support and Rishabh Pant did exactly that and he and Shikhar helped the Indian team to win that match.

 

10. Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul (123 Runs): 


This match was the KL Rahul show as he broke our as one of the best batters in the world chasing a tricky score against a very good England team sy home and it’s very rare for Rohit Sharma to play second fiddle but on that day he did this with expertise and allowed KL Rahul to guide India home.
