The Gameweek 9 of the Premier League is here. After a midweek of Champions League, the teams will resume their League runs. This season's Premier League has been closer than ever in the early stages with 6 teams fighting for the Top 4 place. With the return of the Premier League, FPL too is here. The deadline for Gameweek 9 is 22nd October, 11 pm. With some fresh injury concerns and team news, managers are getting ready with their squad for the upcoming gameweek.

Here we are with our top 5 forward picks for Gameweek 6:

1. Jamie Vardy (£10.6m), Brentford vs Leicester City

After a shaky start to the season, Jamie Vardy is up and running in the Premier League. The Leicester forward, one of the popular picks over the years had a difficult start to the season but is now back in the scoring charts. With 35 points returns in last 4 gameweeks, Jamie Vardy is our top forward picks for this Gameweek against Brentford.

Brentford have not been the worst of sides but an in-form Jamie Vardy is capable of scoring against the best teams in the world. Vardy, fresh from his goal against Manchester United last weekend will be looking to score again. The forward has been selected by 21.8% of the managers and looks a good pick based on his form. With the news of Lukaku injury, Vardy could be a great replacement for managers.

2. Cristiano Ronaldo (£12.5m), Manchester United vs Liverpool

Cristiano Ronaldo has been one of the popular picks as soon as the transfer was announced. With United's fixtures getting difficult, Ronaldo did see a large number in the transferred out column but you can never rule out the Portuguese. As seen in the recent Champions League fixture, Ronaldo is made for big occasions and Although scoring against Liverpool won’t be easy, he surely has the capacity to do so.

Form vs Fixture does play an important role while selecting players and Ronaldo does have the form to score on Sunday. Although the forward blanked in his last 3 games, he still looks the best bet if United are to score against Liverpool. If you have him, don’t transfer him especially with Lukaku out of contention in premium forwards.

3. Michail Antonio (£8.1m), West Ham vs Tottenham

Michail Antonio set the Premier League on fire in the first few gameweeks, scoring and assisting in every match. Despite having 2 blanks in his last 2 fixtures, the forward still touched 50 points which is impressive for a mid ranged player in only 8 gameweeks. West Ham have been impressive and with Antonio being at the centre of they do, having him will be crucial in FPL.

Spurs have not been the best defensively, and Antonio and Co. Can capitalize on it. The forward has already seen a price rise of 0.6 and is currently the most owned asset when it comes to forwards with 45.5%.

4. Allan Saint-Maximin (£6.8m), Crystal Palace, vs Newcastle

Allan Saint-Maximin is yet another low-owned asset who is slowly seeing an increase in ownership owing to his form. Despite blanking in the last 2 gameweeks, the forward has still accumulated 39 points. Newcastle, now under new ownership, will be spirited to get a good result and Maximin will be the main threat for them going forward.

The fixture against Crystal Palace is not the toughest as Palace themselves are weak defensively. With Callum Wilson back from injury, the Duo can be a serious attack for Newcastle. The fixtures too for Newcastle are getting better as they will face only 2 sides rated 4 or more in FDR in their next 7 matches.

5. Danny Ings (£7.8m), Arsenal vs Aston Villa

Ings , one of the regulars in FPL over the last season made his move to Villa this year and took time to settle in. Now he has become their main goal threat as seen in the match against Wolves. Ings has been one of the reliable strikers when it comes to Fantasy points and it looks like it is time to take him in the team.

Priced at 7.8, Ings is selected by 7.8% of managers and could be a differential to the likes of Antonio. Arsenal have not been in the best of forms as witnessed again in the draw with Crystal Palace. Ings can capitalize on Arsenal’s defence and could be in for some points this gameweek.
