Endeavor which is the owner of the UFC has merged with WWE and together they will form another publicly traded company within the next 6 months and the total combined value of the new company will be $21.4 billion which will make it the biggest combat sports company in the world. The power structure in that company will be 51% to Endeavor and 49% to WWE. Vince McMahon will be the executive chairman of WWE and Dana White will still be the president of UFC. This deal will value UFC at $12.1 billion which is. Almost 3 times the value that they were bought for 7 years ago.

The Advantages of the merger

There are a lot of advantages of the merger between WWE and UFC so let’s take a look at them now-

1) The 2 biggest combat sports companies in the world will join forces as UFC and WWE will be the biggest players in the game and everyone would want to work with them as they will have more than a billion fans combined.

2) The WWE superstars and the UFC stars will get to crossover and thus more business will be made and the fans will get to watch their favorite wrestlers and fighters appear in each other’s events so it will be exciting for the fans

3) The WWE superstars will get more commercial opportunities outside the ring like the UFC stars do and this will mean more income for them and more visibility in the mainstream.

4) The UFC could use some of the presentation and the spectacle that the WWE does in their big Events and the UFC events will feel big time events as compared to now

5) The UFC fighters who want to pursue other opportunities outside of UFC can come straight to WWE and be a wrestler and this will get the WWE new viewers.

The challenges of the merger

1) The biggest challenge will be the prices of the PPVs for the WWE fans as the UFC charges $79.99 for their big shows and the WWE fans are not used to paying so much for their shows.

2) The fans will take time to accept this merger and it is up to the powers that be to convince the fans that.

3) The relationship between Dana White and Vince McMahon is not that great so they will have to come on the same page and that will be a big challenge.
