WWE Backlash 2023 Results

WWE Backlash 2023 is in the books and this show was one of the best PPVs of the year and what made the show even better was the atmosphere that the fans in Puerto Rico delivered throughout the show and their cheers and enthusiasm is what made this show from a B PPV to one of the best of the year. There were a total of 7 Matches on the WWE Backlash card and every match delivered and the WWE superstars who were a part of this show made sure to give it their all.

The WWE Backlash show was proof that Triple H knows what he is doing and all the WWE fans are extremely excited as to what he has planned for the future.

So, let’s look at the Results for WWE Backlash 2023:

Bianca Belair vs Iyo Sky for Raw Women’s Championship

This was the first match on the show and it was simply put the best match that Iyo Sky has had in the main roster and this match reminded the WWE fans as to how great a wrestler she is and she took Bianca Belair to the limit. They had a brilliant 18 minutes classic and Bianca Belair was not able to beat her opponent and even Damage Ctrl tried to help Iyo Sky win this match but it was to no use as in the end Bianca Belair won the match but Iyo Sky showed herself out. This was extraordinary and both women should be very proud. And now Bianca Belair is the longest women’s champion of the modern era.

Seth Rollins vs Omos

Seth Rollins vs Omos was one of the most random pairings ever assembled in modern WWE and they had next to nothing interaction leading into this match. Yet, Seth Rollins being the best wrestler in the world gave Omos his best match ever and they had a 11 minute match which was also the longest in the career of Omos. Omos dominated Seth Rollins and Seth then came back in the match and in the end Seth Rollins went to the top rope and then gave him a Stomp to win the match and now his focus will be on the World Heavyweight Championship.

Austin Theory vs Bobby Lashley vs Bronson Reed for United States Championship

This was a short but a banger match that had 3 of the most talented wrestlers in WWE where one was the oldest and the other was the youngest. Austin Theory proved in this match that he is the right United States Champion and these 3 showed it to the world that with just a few minutes omr can have a great match. Bronson Reed was cheered by the fans and now on Raw he has to build a character. This was a 7 minute classic.

Rhea Ripley vs Zelina Vega for SmackDown Women’s Championship

The next match was also a short match but this match was very special for a lot of reasons. First and most importantly it was the most important match in the career of Zelina Vega and she was in her home nation of Puerto Rico and she had the flag with her and the crowd treated her like the queen she is. Her whole family was there to support her. And Rhea Ripley had her first major defense in this match and it was not easy for Rhea Ripley as she has to work hard for this win. It was a fast paced match and Zelina Vega tried to win but Rhea Ripley won the match but after the match the fans there gave Zelina Vega the ovation she deserved.

Bad Bunny vs Damian Priest in a San Juan Street Fight

This was easily the match of the night and this should have been the main event because what all happened in this match was almost impossible to top. This match started with the entrance of Bad Bunny which was one of the best all year and the fans went crazy for him. And then the match started and they were bringing it and the fans were having a blast and Bad Bunny took some insane bumps as well. Then the Judgement Day came and Damian Priest dominated the match but the best was yet to come as Carlito made his shocking return to WWE and the fans there went absolutely crazy for him and then Savio Vega returned and he had the LWO with him and then after 25 minutes of awesomeness Bad Bunny win the Sam Juan Street Fight.

The Bloodline vs Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens and Matt Riddle

The next match had a tough task to follow abar just happened in the Street Fight but they were determined to have a great match for the fans and tell a compelling story. They had a 22 minutes match and they had an excellent match and they had a great story to tell where the dissention in the Bloodline was getting more and more obvious and Roman Reigns will not like what he was seeing and it was looking like Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens and Matt Riddle would win the match but The Bloodline won the match just but their issues are far from over.

Cody Rhodes vs Brock Lesnar

The main event of the show was between Cody Rhodes vs Brock Lesnar and the fans were nervous as to what was going to happen in this match. Cody Rhodes made his entrance and he had one of the loudest WOAHHHHHS ever and they had a 10 minutes match and Brock Lesnar came to work and both kicked out of each other’s finishers and Brock Lesnar was bleeding and in the end Cody Rhodes outsmarted Brock Lesnar and got the win. WWE Backlash was a show for the ages and Triple H needs to have more WWE shows in Puerto Rico because they are better than most crowds in the USA.
