Deandra Dottin holds the record for the fastest Women's T20I century

To score a century in cricket is a huge achievement. But to do it in a T20 match, where you’re only getting 120 balls as a whole team, takes a kind of hitting that feels almost super-natural.

The general record lists can include regional and lower-tier domestic matches, but the absolute elite leaderboard for Women’s T20 International (WT20I) matches shows the highest level of world-class power hitting.

Here are the 5 fastest centuries in official Women’s T20 Internationals, and the story of how each one happened.

1. Deandra Dottin, West Indies, 38 balls (2010)

Deandra Dottin did not just break a record but made history by scoring the first-ever century in women’s T20 International cricket. Even crazier is the fact that she came in to bat at number 6. Usually, the lower-order players don’t get enough time to make 100 runs. Dottin absolutely tore through the South African bowlers, blasting 9 huge sixes and reaching her hundred in a staggering 38 balls. Her record has stood for over 15 years unchallenged.

2. Alyssa Healy, Australia off 46 balls (2019)

Known around the world as one of the most dangerous opening batters in the world, Alyssa Healy proved why in this match at the North Sydney Oval. She opened the batting for Australia and was in a ruthless mood, slamming 19 fours and seven sixes. She raced to a century in 46 balls and finished with an unbeaten 148 off 61 balls, one of the highest individual scores recorded in any WT20I.

3. Tammy Beaumont, England, off 47 balls (2018)

England's stylish opener Tammy Beaumont shredded the South African bowling attack in Taunton in 2018, smartly placing herself and using some big sweeps to get to her ton in 47 balls.

4. Laura Wolvaardt, South Africa – 47 Balls (2026)

In a masterclass of a batting display, Proteas captain Laura Wolvaardt hammered a breathtaking century off just 47 balls in the third T20I of India’s 2026 tour of South Africa at the DP World Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg. Wolvaardt set the tone with a commanding display from the outset, helping South Africa to a mammoth 183-run opening partnership with Sune Luus chasing a tough target of 193 set by India.

She blasted a majestic 115 off 53 balls, including 14 fours and 5 sixes, on her way to a lightning-fast ton, which is now the fastest T20I century by a South African woman. This stunning knock took South Africa to a comfortable nine-wicket win with 21 balls to spare, wrapping up the five-match series 3-0 and levelling the world record of 17 international centuries shared by greats Meg Lanning and Smriti Mandhana.

5. Ayesha Zafar, Pakistan - 47 Balls (2026)

Ayesha Zafar scored a historic maiden T20I century, remaining unbeaten on 100 runs off just 47 balls, hitting 15 fours and 2 sixes at a phenomenal strike rate of 217.02 in the 1st T20I against Zimbabwe in Karachi. She achieved the milestone on the last ball of the innings to end up on 102*, becoming only the second Pakistani woman to score a T20I ton, breaking the record for the fastest century for Pakistan. Her masterclass was explosive, and the hosts piled on a monumental, record-breaking 237/5 to completely deflate the opposition and set up a crushing 153-run win.
