Former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly had some incredible records in ICC Champions Trophy history. The left-handed batter was the first to complete 500 runs in the tournament's history. He scored 665 runs in 11 innings with an average of 73.88 and a strike rate of 83.12. The left-handed batter recorded three centuries and three half-centuries. He still holds the record for most sixes in tournament history, as the left-handed batter hit 17 sixes. After his leadership experienced runners-up in the 2000 edition of the tournament, Ganguly also led Team India during the 2002 edition, where they had to share the trophy with the hosts Sri Lanka due to no results in the Final matches (two different Finals were played, including one on the rest day, and both finished with no results due to rain interruptions in the second innings).

4. Kumar Sangakkara: 683 runs
