Earlier the test series by 2-0 and now the limited overs cricket fixtures by 3-2, West Indies cricket team have been outplayed by the visitors South Africa over the course of the last few weeks in every department of cricket. It’s hard to accept the team who has the history of players like Clive Llyod, Curtly Ambrose, Joel Garner, Malcolm Marshall, Andy Roberts, Curtly Walsh and great Brian Charles Lara has struggled to keep their existence alive in cricket by winning the limited overs tournaments. West Indies have not won any major big tournament apart from T20 world cups in the last three decades of their cricket history.
After the another series loss, Kieron Pollard has said, "It looks as if we haven't learnt much from these matches because we keep making the same mistakes, and that is the definition of insanity. We have to show that we are serious about our cricket and ready to keep on improving in the countdown to the World T20," Kieron Pollard said after the match.

After the test series defeat the captain himself has left with no choice to apologize,
“As batsmen, we know we went wrong. We didn’t bat well. We are very sorry. Obviously, the fans look forward to the West Indies doing well and we were disappointing.”
In both test matches, visitors South Africa has easily to stamp their authority of great test side by easily thrashed the hosts. Straight after the test series, the hosts has won the first T20 game by 8-wickets to look they will look to take series by storm after humiliation in the red-ball cricket. But in the next two games of T20l series, West Indies momentum has been derailed and they have lost games by 16 and 1 runs in 2nd and 3rd T20l game respectively to left everyone in shook. But cricket is the game of uncertainties and they won the next game by 21 runs to level the series by 2-2 all.
So now it’s the final game where it was decided the winner of series. Although the expectations and home conditions advantage, West Indies was favourites but once again they have disappointed us with the kind of cricket they played with the names like Chris Gayle, Nicolas Pooran, Shimron Hetmyer and Andre Russell.
The visitors South Africa has won the toss and to bat first, when they scored 168 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in 20 overs with the fine knocks of Quinton de Kock (60) and Aiden Markram (70). The target of 169 runs in 20 overs was the not big one for home side with big names in their camp but they lost the first wicket at the score of 20 runs in the form Lendl Simmons, who was caught in front of wickets to gave first blow to the home team.
For the next wicket pair of Chris Gayle and Evin Lewis have added 45 runs to build the momentum for chase. But first Chris Gayle by Tabraiz Shamsi and then within the 10 runs the set batsman Evin Lewis was removed by Lungi Ngidi to derailed the chase Completely.
From 65 for the loss of one wicket to 143 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in their 20 overs, the home side was restricted by South Africa bowling and co and emerged out as victorious in the final game of series by 25 runs. Lungi Nigidi (3) and Kagiso Rabada (2) shared 5 wickets each in their 4-overs spells respectively.
From here West Indies will now play the 5 T20s and 3 ODIs against visitors Australia from 11 July and South Africa starts their next campaign against Ireland from 11 July for 3 T20s and 3 ODIs. So stay Tuned with us for the latest cricket updates.
