Best FPL Strikers this week - Gameweek 25 (GW25)
Hugo Ekiteke (Liverpool, £8.9m)
Hugo Ekiteke was absolutely sensational in Liverpool's 4-1 thrashing of Eddie Howe's Newcastle, as he finished the game with a brace. He now has 10 Premier League goals this season, and will look to add to that when Liverpool face Manchester City at Anfield this weekend. City's defense has been quite unstable this season, and Ekiteke in his current form could take huge advantage of that. He is undoubtedly one of the best FPL strikers this week despite the opposition.
Viktor Gyökeres (Arsenal, £8.7m)
Viktor Gyökeres has come to life for Arsenal in recent games. He has proved that as long as his Arsenal teammates give him enough service, then he'll most probably end up paying them back with a goal. Sunderland at home is a great fixture for Gyökeres to continue his good form, the best thing is that he keeps getting with every game at the moment. There is a slight risk of Jesus or Havertz starting ahead of him, but we feel Arteta is most likely to go ahead with the Swedish striker.
Yoane Wissa (Newcastle, £7.3m)
Nick Woltemade starting the Carabao Cup semi-final second leg against Manchester City this week probably means Yoane Wissa will start for Newcastle against Brentford this weekend. Thus, Wissa is going to face his old club, and that is sure to make him more motivated than usual. Wissa has been decent for Newcastle since returning from injury, and we'll surely see his best version once he gets back to full fitness for the club. He is a great differential FPL forward pick this week.
Danny Welbeck (Brighton, £6.2m)
Danny Welbeck is our best budget forward pick in FPL for this week. Oliver Glasner's Crystal Palace side look like a shadow of their former selves, and they are now weaker after selling their captain Marc Guéhi. The game is also at Brighton's, which further increases the chances for Welbeck to provide you with an attacking return. At a price of just £6.2m, the former Manchester United forward is definitely a risk worth taking.
Ollie Watkins (Aston Villa, £8.7m)
Similar to Crystal Palace, Bournemouth are another side that have fallen off a cliff in terms of form. They began the league on such a promising note, but have since then been shockingly poor. The sale of star player Antoine Semenyo has made things even worse for them, and Aston Villa could capitalize on all these factors when they face each other this Premier League weekend. Thus, we have chosen Ollie Watkins as one of our best FPL forwards for this week, as he could end up causing huge problems for the Bournemouth defense.
