Best FPL forwards This week - Gameweek 28
Viktor Gyökeres (Arsenal, £8.8m)
The Viktor Gyökeres that we all saw in Sporting Lisbon is slowly arriving at Arsenal, and that is not good news for the defenders in the Premier League. Gyökeres scored a stunning brace in the North London Derby last week against Spurs, and he'll next be facing a Chelsea side at home that have been struggling a lot recently. Chelsea's defense hasn't been great as well this season, Gyökeres in his current form could do huge damage to Liam Rosenior's side.
Erling Haaland (Manchester City, £14.8m)
Erling Haaland was fantastic against Newcastle last week despite not scoring a goal. However, he still managed to assist one of the City goals, thus proving that can be quite an effective player for Guardiola even when not scoring. Haaland has now been directly involved in 29 Premier League goals this season, which are simply unbelievable numbers. City will face Leeds next, and this is the kind of fixture where Haaland could easily end up scoring a hat-trick. One thing is for certain, it's going to be a nightmare 90 minutes of football for the Leeds defense if Haaland is going to be at his best.
Benjamin Šeško (Manchester United, £7.2m)
Benjamin Šeško has been the hero for Manchester United in their past 2 games. In fact, Michael Carrick should thank the Slovenian for still keeping the new Utd coach's undefeated record intact. Šeško has scored in the last 2 Man Utd games despite not starting for them, and scored the only goal for the club in both these games. We now expect him to definitely start the game against Crystal Palace this weekend, and he could very well continue his scoring run.
Igor Thiago (Brentford, £7.1m)
After Erling Haaland, Igor Thiago has been the most destructive striker in the Premier League. The major difference between him and Haaland is that Thiago has been scoring all these goals without the help of a world-class supporting cast, while Haaland is being provided service by some of the best midfielders in the game. This goes on to show us how brilliant Thiago has been this season. Brentford will face Burnley away next, and the latter's weak defense will not be happy at the prospect of facing the Brazilian striker.
Hugo Ekitike (Liverpool, £8.9m)
Liverpool have been in great form under Arne Slot recently, at least from a results perspective. The performances have still been average , but Hugo Ekitike has been one of those exceptions for Liverpool this season, as he's one of those rare players in the side this season who could proudly say he has played well. Ekiteke has already scored 10 goals this season, and West Ham at home is a great fixture for the French striker to score his 11th.
Those are our best Fantasy Premier League strikers for Gameweek 28. That's it from our side, we will be seeing you soon with our pick of best Fantasy Premier League strikers in Gameweek 29.
