Liverpool remain one of the most interesting teams to consider when building a Fantasy Premier League (FPL) squad for the 2026/27 season. However, with changes to their squad and attacking hierarchy, choosing the right Liverpool players could be more complicated than in previous seasons.

5. Alexander Isak — £9.0m
Alexander Isak is arguably the biggest high-risk, high-reward option among Liverpool's FPL players this season. His £9.0m price tag represents a decrease from last season, but there is still one major question surrounding him: can he establish himself as Liverpool's consistent starting striker?
Until Isak proves that he can remain fit and start regularly for Liverpool for at least a month or two, selecting him comes with considerable risk. FPL managers cannot afford to spend £9.0m on a player who could potentially struggle for minutes.
However, if he gets fully fit, starts consistently and finds his rhythm, Isak's ceiling is enormous. At his best, he can arguably be considered one of the best strikers in the Premier League outside of Erling Haaland.

4. Florian Wirtz — £7.5m
Liverpool supporters will be hoping Florian Wirtz can finally showcase the world-class talent that convinced the club to spend big on their record Bundesliga signing.
Wirtz has already demonstrated flashes of his enormous ability, and there is plenty of excitement surrounding what he could produce in the Premier League. His attacking intelligence, creativity and ability to operate between the lines make him an intriguing FPL option.
There are still plenty of question marks, though. Translating his Bundesliga Bayer Leverkusen form into consistent Premier League FPL returns is not guaranteed, particularly with Liverpool undergoing tactical changes.
Nevertheless, Wirtz is a slightly safer gamble than Isak because of his lower £7.5m price and the expectation that he should have greater availability. If he adapts quickly, his price could prove extremely attractive.

3. Virgil van Dijk — £6.5m
Virgil van Dijk may no longer be at the absolute peak of his powers, but the Liverpool captain remains a relevant FPL option at £6.5m.
Age inevitably catches up with every player, and Van Dijk is clearly entering the latter stages of his career. His performances have not always been at the extraordinary level Liverpool fans became accustomed to, but from an FPL perspective, he can still provide value.
His biggest advantage is reliability. Compared with Liverpool's more uncertain attacking options, Van Dijk represents a relatively straightforward route into the Reds' defence.
Clean sheets will obviously be the primary attraction, while his aerial threat from set pieces gives him additional attacking potential. He may not offer the same explosive upside as Liverpool's attackers, but his combination of starts, defensive returns and goal threat keeps him firmly in consideration.

2. Milos Kerkez — £5.5m
Ranking Milos Kerkez above Van Dijk and Liverpool's other options may come as a surprise, especially after his disappointing debut season at Anfield.
However, there is reason to believe Kerkez could be a completely different FPL asset this season. He improved significantly towards the end of the campaign and will now reunite with his former Bournemouth manager, Andoni Iraola.
That relationship could be crucial.
Kerkez produced some of his best football under Iraola at Bournemouth, which was a major reason Liverpool were willing to invest in him. If Iraola can restore that version of the Hungarian left-back, £5.5m could prove to be an excellent price.
His attacking instincts make him particularly interesting for FPL managers. At this price point, regular starts combined with attacking returns and Liverpool clean sheets could make Kerkez one of the season's best-value defenders.

While Liverpool had plenty of players who struggled to reach their usual standards last season, Szoboszlai was arguably the one player who could consistently hold his head high. He was arguably their standout performer and now has the opportunity to take on an even more important role.
With Mohamed Salah gone, Szoboszlai could also receive greater attacking responsibility. That could significantly increase his FPL appeal.
Another major advantage is his threat from set pieces. Goals from direct free-kicks, assists from corners and deliveries into dangerous areas all give him additional routes to FPL points.
With Iraola now expected to get the best out of him tactically, Szoboszlai could be set for his most productive season yet.
