Brazil faces a tricky Chile side in the quarter final stage of the Copa America 2021 as their first huddle in claiming back to back the title on home soil. The winners of this contest face either Paraguay or 2019 finalist Peru in the semifinals.

Brazil cruised to this stage of the competition with no major hitch winning three of four group stage games although they struggled in their last two matches. The Selecaos rotated their squad in the 1-1 draw with Ecuador in the final group game, a fixture of less significance provided that Brazil already qualified, with Casemiro, Fred, Jesus, Thiago Silva and even Neymar rested. Brazil are expected to start their strongest squad against Chile to reach their destination.

Their opponents on the night had been fairly inconsistent in the group stage.

Chile only managed to win once, coming against weaker opposition in Bolivia and an unconvincing loss to Paraguay in their last group stage game. However, they derived points out of Argentina and Uruguay showing their capability of frustrating a superior side to them. It is hard to know which Chile will show up and that makes them dangerous. Of course, Chile are wishing to land their third Copa America title in history after winning it successively in 2015 & 16.

BRA vs CHI Dream11 Team News :

Injuries & Suspensions :

Brazil will rotate their squad once again but this time first-teamers in it. Alisson Becker, Eder Militao, Marquinhos and Alex Sandro are a few retaining their place from the last game. Talisman Neymar will return to the group as well. Fabinho is set to partner with Casemiro in the midfield while Everton Santos can get a call-up to make a start in the forward line. Gabriel Jesus will also replace Firmino in the starting eleven.

Chile are unlikely to change their starting lineup from the last game even after suffering defeat to Paraguay. Center back Guillermo Maripan is unfit for this game and he missed the game against Paraguay too. His absence is already felt in that match as Gary Medel struggled without a formidable partner at the back. Although Francisco Sierralta performed decently in that loss.

Eduardo Vargas has proven to be the man of the big moment in Alexis Sanchez's absence, ruled out of the tournament with an injury, with his strikes against Argentina and Uruguay

Brazil vs Chile Predicted Lineups :

Brazil possible starting lineup:

Alisson; Danilo, Eder Militao, Marquinhos, Alex Sandro, Richarlison, Fabinho, Casemiro, Everton, Neymar, Gabriel Jesus

Chile possible starting lineup: Claudio

Bravo; Mauricio Isla, Gary Medel, Francisco Sierralta, Eugenio Mena, Arturo Vidal, Charles Aranguiz, Tomas Alarcon, Cesar Pinares, Eduardo Vargas,  Ben Brereton

Brazil vs Chile Head to Head :

Brazil have an excellent record against Chile with 8 wins in their last 10 outings, others being a draw and a defeat. Chile's only triumph came in the 2015 world cup qualification fixture when Eduardo Vargas and Alexis Sanchez were on the scoresheet.

BRA vs CHI Dream11 Team Prediction :

GK: Claudio Bravo

DEF: Danilo, Marquinhos, Francisco Sierralta, Alex Sandro

MID: Casemiro, Arturo Vidal, Fabinho

FW: Gabriel Jesus, Eduardo Vargas, Neymar

Match Prediction: Brazil 2-0 Chile

Brazil are expected to see off this fixture in climbing to their usual heights. Neymar and Gabriel Jesus's return to the starting eleven following a game rest will posses a greater challenge to Chile. The visitor's leaky defense won't be helpful in this case. So, Brazil's name is prescribed for the semis if they aren't complacent in any manner.
