FPL Gameweek 25 Players to watch out for

The Premier League returns again today after a very quick turnaround from gameweek 24. Less than 48 hours ago, Liverpool faced Leicester while Arsenal made the trip to Wolves.

With the PL fixtures starting on Saturday, FPL managers will be looking to make the changes to their team before Saturday’s FPL deadline. With a double gameweek in place for Brighton and Manchester United and a huge double gameweek in 26, FPL managers will be making their plans for the long term.

Here we are with the players to transfer in for Gameweek 25:

1) Riyad Mahrez (£8.6m) – Norwich vs Manchester City

After a disappointing AFCON outing with Algeria, Mahrez was back in the PL in midweek and delivered yet another crucial performance which included a goal from the penalty spot. This season, Mahrez has gone on to become one of the key players in Pep’s side and the Algerian has delivered with 7 goals and 5 assists in the season.

At 3.3% ownership, Mahrez could be a great differential who can deliver consistently in a high-flying Manchester City side. This week, Mahrez and co. face Norwich who have been struggling throughout. Even in the long term, Mahrez will be a great value pick.

2) Bruno Fernandes (£11.7m) – Manchester United vs Southampton, Manchester United vs Brighton

This could be a pick which will draw some argument due to United’s form off late and Bruno’s recent outings. However, a double gameweek player is always useful to have in the line-up. Not to forget, the last time United had a double gameweek Bruno amassed 23 points which included 3 goals.

Bruno could be a great option for captaincy as well in this gameweek, due to the reasons mentioned above. United will face Brighton and Southampton in gameweek 25, which are not the most difficult of fixtures. Bruno with his 21% ownership could prove to be the difference between those who own him and those who do not if he replicates his form from the previous double gameweek.

3) Diogo Jota (£8.5m) – Burnley vs Liverpool

The Liverpool forward reached a landmark 100 goals in his club career with the brace against Leicester on Thursday. Jota is proving to be a great FPL asset and in the absence of Salah, lead the Liverpool forward line. Jota has a total of 125 points this season which shows his consistency throughout the season.

Jota is expected to carry the form ahead in gameweek 25 when Liverpool travel to face Burnley. With the favorable fixtures ahead for Liverpool and Jota’s recent form, he is one of the players to have in FPL right now.

4) Heung-Min Son (£10.7m) – Spurs vs Wolves

The Spurs star scored against Southampton on his return from injury and looked good overall. Being a key player alongside Kane in the Spurs setup, Son is always expected to be involved in goals. With the likes of De Bruyne and Salah being favored right now in FPL, Son could prove to be a difference maker against Wolves in gameweek 25 and the double gameweek which follows.

The fixtures ahead for Spurs look favorable too, as they face the likes of Wolves, Burnley and Leeds over their next 5 fixtures.

5) Neil Maupay (£6.5m) – Watford vs Brighton, Manchester United vs Brighton

Maupay could be one of the differentials for the gameweek due to his low 8.3% ownership. Brighton have a double gameweek this time where they face Watford and Manchester United. Maupay has been one of the consistent performers for Brighton so far in a season where the Seagulls have been impressive.

Maupay could be a great punt for a week due to his 2 fixtures while also being a long term forward due to his regular returns. With there being no great picks from the forwards right now, Maupay could be a great FPL asset for Gameweek 25 and beyond.
