LIV vs EVE Match Preview

Eye-catching football and drastic defending from the opposition made Liverpool's expected win even sweeter. Manchester United were absolutely no match to the Red's scintillating attacking force as all of the front three of the night, Mane-Salah-Diaz got on the scoresheet with Diogo Jota adding him to the contributing list after his assist to the final goal completing a 4-0 score-line. Winning 11th Premier League game in a row at Anfield. The victory also meant Liverpool did the double against United this season with a combined score of 9-0. Even though it wasn't the feared side United once were, the three points gathered in the clash kept feeding the side that have not lost in the league at all this year. They are unbeaten in each league game at Anfield this season till now. The Red machine have pounded almost every opposition on their road and are braced to do the same in another derby. Jurgen Klopp wishes his team keeps on rolling like this to maintain a point gap with Man City in second for the title. An unprecedented quadruple is also on the cards as Liverpool have a home advantage for three consecutive games in all competitions. Against another rival in a difficult situation, this should be an easy task for the Reds.

A whopping 47 points separate Everton from their Merseyside rivals as the two clubs' contrasting fortunes will be highlighted further in this derby. A relief for Frank Lampard's men is that they look ahead to this derby not on a sour note after a crucial 1-1 draw with Leicester City. A late strike from Richarlison rescued the point for his side in the game that could have resulted in more if the Brazilian took his other big chances fell to him. A goal as early as the fifth minute into on Thursday by Harvey Barnes put the home side on the back foot but they were able to avoid defeat for only the second time in a row after losing six of the seven preceding games. The draw kept the team dangling over the relegation spot with a point over 18th placed Burnley. Lampard said his team will wish for a draw against their unstoppable rivals as they enter a frantic week where they face Chelsea and Leicester again. If their recent form is to say something the manager is pleased to gather four points in a bid to create some momentum ahead of these crunching ties. The Toffees have to put up a fight if they are to continue to face their rivals in this historical derby in the top flight otherwise the time for their first-ever relegation will come up pretty soon.
