This time Pep Guardiola team began a tough group with a 6-3 victory over RB Leipzig at home but went down 2-0 at Paris before a 5-1 & 3-1 drubbing of Club Brugge put them in a promising position. This ruthless side is wishing for the same to counter the stiff challenge possessed by the Parisians but City's home record has been neat. The English champions are currently on an eight-game winning streak at the Etihad Stadium in the Champions League. They are confident of finishing tasks on the night. In case of anything other than a victory, City have to do it all in the final group stage game.
The same principle obliges the Ligue 1 giants. But more than the game the talking points were circulating that PSG's supposedly unhappy coach Mauricio Pochettino is on the verge of taking over the vacant managerial seat at Manchester United. The Argentinian has since denied all rumours saying he is thinking about Paris only and the game ahead. For Manchester City, Jack Grealish missed the weekend battle against Everton and requires late sessions to be certain of being involved in this game. Kevin De Bruyne is still in his self-isolation period after contracting Covid-19 on his return from international duties so the playmaker will miss out completely. Ikay Gundogan will start in his place once again. Pep Guardiola also confirmed that there are a few players carrying niggles but it won't affect their performance on the pitch.
