slovakia vs spain dream11 team prediction match preview lineups uefa euro 2020

Spain knows their first victory in Euro 2020 over Slovakia will ensure a place in the last 16 stages but the guests are adamant to be another stumbling block in their way. La Roja are currently placed third in Group E with only one point on the board whereas the Sokoli are one place above Spain with 3 pts.

Slovakia started the Euros brightly by beating Poland in the opener and almost snatched a point out of Sweden only for Forsberg to convert from the spot deep into the second half. They will reach their destiny if the game ends in a draw. If Slovakia manages to beat Spain, they will top the group provided that Sweden doesn't win.

Luis Enrique's side failed to construct a winning way once again this time against Poland with the game ending in 1-1. The lack of finishing chances cost them again leaving them in a pressurized situation ahead of their decisive group stage game. To put it simply, Spain will go through if they take three points out of the game or Sweden emerge victorious against Poland in the other fixture.

Injuries & Suspensions

Stefan Tarkovic's men will be without Denis Vavro for the defender is forced to self-isolate after contracting coronavirus. Ivan Schranz is still out with an injury and will miss this group stage clash. Slovakia have no other issues to tackle before facing Spain.

The delightful news from the host's camp is that Sergio Busquets have ended his quarantine period after contracting Covid and is now available for selection. Most certainly, he will start in midfield on Wednesday.  The rest of the squad is fit and is aiming to turn draws into wins to get place their name in the next round of the competition.

Slovakia vs Spain Predicted Lineups :

Slovakia: Martin Dubravka; Peter Pekarik, Milan Skriniar, Lubomir Satka,Tomas Hubocan, Juraj Kucka, Jakub Hromada, Lukas Haraslin, Marek Hamsik, Robert Mak, Ondrej Duda

Spain: Unai Simon; Marcos Llorente, Pau Torres, Aymeric Laporte, Jordi Alba, Sergio Busquets, Koke, Pedri, Gerard Moreno, Alvaro Morata, Dani Olmo

Head to Head

Spain have played Slovakia only 6 times since it became an independent nation. The hosts have managed to beat them four times. Slovakia can take inspiration from their only triumph over the Spanish armada back in 2014 in an Euro qualification clash in which a late winner from Miroslav Stoch settled the points. Present squad member, Juraj Kucka scored the opening goal in that game.

SLO vs ESP Dream11 Fantasy Team

GK: Unai Simon (Esp)

DEF: Marcos Llorente (Esp), Milan Skriniar (Slo), Aymeric Laporte (Esp), Jordi Alba (Esp)

MID: Sergio Busquets (Esp), Juraj Kucka (Slo), Koke (Spa), Marek Hamsik (Slo)

FW: Ondrej Duda (Slo), Gerrard Moreno (Esp)

Spain's flashy fullbacks have done a lot in both these games but their tantalizing crosses haven't been converted so far. MilanSkriniar'sr job is to keep that frustration intact in them. The Slovakian defender displayed his terrific club form with Inter for his nation. Sergio Busquets restoration in the starting eleven will help Spain push more bodies to forward as he anchors the midfield while the Slovakian duo of Juraj Kucka and Marek Hamsik are never stopping midfield engines to provide solidity. They are joined by a hardworking forward in Ondrej Duda. Gerrard Moreno will be wishing to keep the worries of a missed penalty in the last game aside and perform better this time out.

Match Prediction: Slovakia 0-1 Spain

Slovakia have shown courageous play through their solid defense and to keep the ball and attack whenever chances arrived. Despite that, Spain will be too much of opposition for them considering the stake La Roja are carrying for this game. It is true the 2008 and 2012 Euro winners struggled to finish most of their chances but surely they are good enough to secure the victory they crave for.
