The battle of the yellow shirts, Sweden and Ukraine battle it out for a place in the quarterfinals. The winner of the contest face either England or Germany in the next stage of the competition.
Sweden had to dig deep to get the winner having led Poland 2-0 only for a Robert Lewandowski brace making things nervy at the end. Anyway, Sweden topped the group finishing ahead of Spain and losing none. Holding Spain in a 0-0 draw was their greatest achievement in the group stage before Emil Forsberg ran the show in the following games scoring three overall. Also their solid defense only let in two goals.
Ukraine path wasn't smooth like their counterpart. They were down and out trailing 2-0 to Netherlands but turn the course around only to be stun by a late winner from the Dutch. North Macedonia threw a decent challenge although that was swept aside. Ukraine then stumbled against Austria at the time of asking leaving themselves to all kind of permutations. At last, they qualified as the best third placed side in the competition with only one win thanks to their better goal difference.

The back four is mainly Swedish because of their solidly with Victor Lindelof the standout player. The introduction of Dejan Kulusevski return to the side has been immense and he will feed balls to Emil Forsberg in red hort scoring form. Aleksandr Isak has yet to find the back of net but he has been the architect of creating opportunities for the team. Whereas, Andriy Yarmolenko two goals and an assist in the Euros makes him a player to keep an eye on.

Sweden have shown solidity at the back with a fantastic attack. Their style of play makes them hard to beat and it will take them to the latter stages. Ukraine have done little defensively in the competition so it will end their stay. Their attack has been sustainable though but it won't be enough to break their opposition resistance. So everything points at a Sweden qualifying to the last eight.
