The likes of Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester City, Juventus, and Tottenham Hotspur will all be in action for matchday 1. UEFA Champions League/UCL predictions for Matchday 1
PSV vs Union Saint-Gilloise
Dutch club PSV will be taking on Belgian side Union Saint-Gilloise in UCL matchday 1. Both are performing extremely strongly in their respective leagues but we expect PSV to edge it out.
Prediction: PSV 3-1 Union Saint-Gilloise
Athletic club vs Arsenal
Arsenal will face Spanish side Athletic club away, whose star is Nico Williams who was heavily linked to Arsenal previously. Although it'll be a competitive game, we give the win to Mikel Arteta's side.

Juventus vs Dortmund
Juventus and Dortmund are 2 European giants who have fallen apart in the past few years. Both clubs have started the new season strongly, but we feel the Bianconeri to be the better side.

Benfica vs Qarabağ FK
Both Benfica and Qarabağ FK have had mixed starts to their league campaigns. However, we expect Benfica's experience in the UCL to help them win this.

Tottenham Hotspur vs Villareal
Tottenham Hotspur has had a brilliant start to life under Thomas Frank, while Villareal are coming from a 2-0 defeat to Atlético Madrid. Easy win for Spurs.

Real Madrid vs Marseille
Real Madrid are 1st in La Liga and Marseille are currently 7th in the French League, much more doesn't need to be said here.
Prediction: Real Madrid 4-1 Marseille
Olympiacos vs Pafos
Olympiacos are currently undefeated in their league while Pafos sit 11th in theirs, another easy prediction.
Prediction: Olympiacos 3-0 Pafos
Slavia Praha vs Bodø/Glim
Both Slavia Praha and Bodø/Glim are 1st in their respective leagues and we expect this to be a tight contest that ends in a stalemate.

Bayern Munich vs Chelsea
Nicolas Jackson will be facing his old side Chelsea after his dramatic move to Chelsea. With the match taking place in Germany and Chelsea's shaky form, we expect a Bayern win.

PSG vs Atalanta
PSG as usual are dominating the league, while Atalanta are coming from a 4-1 league win in Serie A. Luis Enrique's side has the upper hand though according to us.

Ajax vs Inter Milan
Inter Milan have had a horrible start to their Serie a campaign, while Ajax have begun their league season decently. We still expect Inter to turn up for the special European nights.

Liverpool vs Atlético Madrid
Atlético Madrid are not in the best form right now, and Arne Slot's Liverpool side would be the last side they would want to face right now. Enough said.

Copenhagen vs Leverkusen
Bayer Leverkusen has gone from dreamland under Xabi Alonso to now absolute disaster. We expect Copenhagen to frustrate them as well and deny a winner.

Club Brugge vs Monaco
This will be a tight game we feel, and one that ends with a Monaco win.

Eintracht Frankfurt vs Galatasaray
Galatasaray are in fine form at the moment from a league perspective, while Frankfurt haven't been at their best. Expecting the Turkish visitors to shock them.

Both clubs have been fine in their respective leagues, but we expect a Sporting win here.

Newcastle vs Barcelona
What a match this'll be, as Barcelona will visit St James' Park for a magnificent clash. We predict a tight game where Newcastle shock us all.

Manchester City vs Napoli
Manchester City are coming off a 3-0 thrashing of rivals Manchester United, while Napoli are 1st in Serie A. We expect Antonio Conte to have the final laugh over Pep Guardiola.
