Chelsea proved their doubters wrong with unforeseen success over the past few months and answered many questions about whether Enzo Maresca is fit for the managerial role at the club. The Blues had a mixed campaign last time, staying in title contention the previous year, but then had a drastic fall-off from January that had them tussling for a top-four berth. They finally managed to seal a spot in the final match day of the Premier League to return to Champions League football and also won the Conference League in Europe. However, none of those achievements was as convincing as what the London club achieved in the new iteration of the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 held in the USA.
The English giants not only reached the final against all odds but thrashed the high-flying European champions and competition favourites Paris Saint-Germain 3-0 in a stunning way to crown themselves inaugural world champions. The exciting part of their journey was the existing stars of the team like Enzo Fernandez, Moises Caicedo and Cole Palmer rekindled their form while new signings like Liam Delap and Joao Pedro hit the mark instantly. This incredible success showed that Chelsea are again moving into conversation of winning the Premier League now with the BlueCo ownership finally making the side a trophy-winning outfit after seasons of doldrum since it acquired the club in 2022.
It means that Chelsea will have more expectations on them and also pressure with the 2025-26 season deemed to be more challenging. The Blues will face an intense Premier League schedule and will have to manage the Champions League in the new League Phase format side by side. Having already played a ton of games with their run to the Club World Cup final, it is also a challenge for the club to maintain their standard and keep everyone fit in another long campaign. The league season for the Blues starts mid-August and will run till the end of May with the club hoping to maintain their trophy winning streak in the new season eyeing the big prize.
Here is the full fixture list of Premier League 2025-26 season for Chelsea:
August 2025
Sunday 17 August 2025
Chelsea v Crystal Palace
Saturday 23 August 2025
West Ham United v Chelsea
Saturday 30 August 2025
Chelsea v Fulham
Chelsea will open their 2025-26 campaign with three straight London derbies, facing FA Cup holders Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge on August 17, 2025, before travelling to the London Stadium to face West Ham in their first away game. Fulham will be their opposition back at home to wrap up August. These could be tricky fixtures, but it will be a shock if the world champions don’t conjure maximum points from this opening period.
September 2025
Saturday 13 September 2025
Brentford v Chelsea
Saturday 20 September 2025
Manchester United v Chelsea
Saturday 27 September 2025
Chelsea v Brighton & Hove Albion
Enzo Maresca’s side will need a strong start as they will face an intense schedule from now on, starting in September with a trip to Brentford, who, despite losing their star coach to Tottenham, will pose a challenge, especially at their home. The first big challenge in the season will be against Manchester United at Old Trafford, where they haven’t won in the league since 2013 despite the Red Devils’ toughest period in club history. It will require a decisive performance from the Blues to break that drought before welcoming ever-spirited Brighton to end September.
October 2025
Saturday 4 October 2025
Chelsea v Liverpool
Saturday 18 October 2025
Nottingham Forest v Chelsea
Saturday 25 October 2025
Chelsea v Sunderland
The clash against defending champions Liverpool at the start of October will decide whether Chelsea are back among Premier League title contenders or not. The Blues have a decent record in this fixture at Stamford Bridge, including a 3-1 win last season, although the Reds had wrapped up the title by then. Nevertheless, the league holders will give stiff competition after adding further strength to their squad. Chelsea will then travel to the City Ground to face the previous season’s surprise package, Nottingham Forest, where they sealed their Champions League qualification on the final day.
November 2025
Saturday 1 November 2025
Tottenham Hotspur v Chelsea
Saturday 8 November 2025
Chelsea v Wolverhampton Wanderers
Saturday 22 November 2025
Burnley v Chelsea
Saturday 29 November 2025
Chelsea v Arsenal
The penultimate month of the year will start with a bang as Maresca’s team will be visitors to Tottenham Hotspur's stadium to face a new-look Spurs team under Thomas Frank in a crucial London derby. Chelsea have won five out of six previous visits to the stadium, but a new challenge awaits them. They also end the month with another London derby against Arsenal, who are also a Premier League challenger and haven't won at home against them in five seasons. This is a crucial period for them to prove their worth.
December 2025
Wednesday 3 December 2025
Leeds United v Chelsea
Saturday 6 December 2025
AFC Bournemouth v Chelsea
Saturday 13 December 2025
Chelsea v Everton
Saturday 20 December 2025
Newcastle United v Chelsea
Saturday 27 December 2025
Chelsea v Aston Villa
Tuesday 30 December 2025
Chelsea v AFC Bournemouth
Tackling that tough period, the Blues will have a comparatively easier end to their 2025 schedule, but it's only on paper. Facing Champions League chasers Newcastle United and Aston Villa in the final week of December is a difficult challenge, especially after losing to the Magpies in the last four visit to St James’s Park. Bournemouth, in the final fixture of the year, will be another tricky affair considering the Cherries were surprise packages last season and also drew with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
January 2026
Saturday 3 January 2026
Manchester City v Chelsea
Wednesday 7 January 2026
Fulham v Chelsea
Saturday 17 January 2026
Chelsea v Brentford
Saturday 24 January 2026
Crystal Palace v Chelsea
Saturday 31 January 2026
Chelsea v West Ham United
The start of the New Year brings a gruelling fixture in the form of Manchester City, with the extra difficulty of facing them at the Etihad Stadium, where the Blues are waiting for their first victory in any competition since 2021. Despite Pep Guardiola’s side regressing last season and being eliminated at the first knockout stage of the Club World Cup, they will certainly be title contenders with a revamped squad, making this game a pivotal one. Chelsea will then play three London derbies, apart from a home game against Brentford, in the opening month of 2026.
February 2025
Saturday 7 February 2026
Wolverhampton Wanderers v Chelsea
Wednesday 11 February 2026
Chelsea v Leeds United
Saturday 21 February 2026
Chelsea v Burnley
Saturday 28 February 2026
Arsenal v Chelsea
The end of February will bring the next big challenge for Chelsea following an easier set of games since facing City in early January. The reverse clash against Arsenal at Emirates could be significant in deciding their position on the Premier League table, even more so after losing the last three trips there with scoring just one goal and conceding nine at the same time.
March 2026
Wednesday 4 March 2026
Aston Villa v Chelsea
Saturday 14 March 2026
Chelsea v Newcastle United
Saturday 21 March 2026
Everton v Chelsea
While Aston Villa, Newcastle United and Everton in March 2026 are not walk-in-the-park fixtures, Chelsea will have to win them to be in their best position possible to tackle the crunching final two months of the season that would decide their title chances or at the very least the hunt for the Champions League places if they remain in contention for any of those by that time which they should be. Any of these games could be a potential banana skin, so the Blues need to be careful in handling them.
April 2026
Saturday 11 April 2026
Chelsea v Manchester City
Saturday 18 April 2026
Chelsea v Manchester United
Saturday 25 April 2026
Brighton & Hove Albion v Chelsea
Chelsea has been handed a chaotic schedule in their final seven games, with their fate to be sealed in this period. It starts with back-to-back fixtures against Manchester clubs in the penultimate month of the season, starting against City on 11th April 2026. Even though the Blues will get home advantage in both fixtures, they will have to face a stiff challenge to resist a collapse here, with the away trip to Amex also a tricky place to go, especially at this stage of the season.
May 2026
Saturday 2 May 2026
Chelsea v Nottingham Forest
Saturday 9 May 2026
Liverpool v Chelsea
Sunday 17 May 2026
Chelsea v Tottenham Hotspur
Sunday 24 May 2026
Sunderland v Chelsea
The final month of the 2025-26 season will be equally tough for Chelsea, as after starting May 2026 with a home game against ambitious Nottingham Forest, they will be going to Anfield to take on Premier League holders Liverpool a week later. Soon after, they will be welcoming Spurs at Stamford Bridge before concluding the campaign at Sunderland on 24th May 2026. Those two games are enough to put a dent in Blues’ high hopes for the season, but if there is one club that has shown brilliance at the critical moment of a competition, it is Chelsea and Enzo Maresca will hope his side proves themselves again to add to their five league titles.
