Chelsea Transfer News Anis Hadj Moussa

We are here with the latest Chelsea transfer news, as journalist Florian Plettenberg has reported that Chelsea are one of the clubs interested in Anis Hadj-Moussa, the promising 23 year old Feyenrood striker. The Blues are also joined by the likes of Marseille and SL Benfica in potentially signing the player. Another interesting fact regarding Anis Hadj-Moussa is that he was previously linked with Liverpool as well.

The career of Chelsea-linked Anis Hadj Moussa So far

Anis Hadj Moussa, born in Paris, was trained by his father during his childhood. This had helped him develop his technical ability and creative play on the field. He began his football journey with local clubs US Torcy and FC Montfermeil before joining the RC Lens academy in 2018. After gaining experience with Lens’ reserve team, he moved to Belgium in 2022 to sign his first senior contract with Olympic Charleroi, where his impressive performances quickly made him one of the standout players in the Nationale 1. A year later, he joined Patro Eisden Maasmechelen following their promotion to the Challenger Pro League.

In February 2024, Moussa took a major step by joining Dutch side Vitesse Arnhem on loan. Despite the club struggling that season, the young winger caught attention with his creativity and confidence on the ball. His rise continued when Feyenoord secured his signature on a five-year deal starting from the 2024–25 season, a move that earned Patro Eisden a record transfer fee. He marked another milestone in November 2024 by scoring his first UEFA Champions League goal.

Now 23, Moussa has become an important figure for Feyenoord, contributing five goals and three assists in 16 Eredivisie matches, attracting interest from top European clubs. Internationally, he has represented Algeria at youth levels and made his senior debut in March 2024. He was also part of Algeria’s squad at the 2025 AFCON, where he provided two assists and consistently created chances, underlining his growing influence on the international stage.

Why are Chelsea looking to sign Anis Hadj Moussa?

Chelsea currently have João Pedro and Liam Delap as their first-team strikers in the team. Liam Delap has overall been a disappointing sign till now, while Pedro's form has drastically gone down after what was a thunderous start to his life at Chelsea. Thus, it makes sense that Chelsea are looking to sign Anis Hadj Moussa, who not only possesses huge potential, but fits the criteria of Chelsea's strategy of buying high-potential young players with highest market value.

Will Anis Hadj Moussa join Chelsea this January Transfer window?

Chelsea aren't the only club targeting Anis Hadj Moussa, as we previously mentioned above that Marseille and SL Benfica are also interested in the player. However, Chelsea are obviously the biggest club out of the 3, and thus hold an advantage in that regard. The latest reports are that agent Makram Naceur is acting as an intermediary for Anis Hadj Moussa, and is in talks with interested clubs from Germany.

This points towards a high probability of the player leaving Feyenrood. As for Feyenrood, Anis Hadj Moussa has a contract with the club till 2030, and could thus ask a huge transfer fee for the 23 year old winger. As things stand, this is a developing transfer story, and we'll have to see how things unfold in the coming days or weeks. If Chelsea really want the player and he wishes to join them as well, then we may soon see a "Here we Go" from Fabrizio Romano that Anis Hadj Moussa has joined Chelsea.
