Gameweek 2 begins with Crystal Palace vs. Manchester City on Friday before several fascinating clashes take place across the weekend. Here are our Premier League Gameweek 2 predictions, including our predicted score for every fixture.
Crystal Palace 0-2 Manchester City
The first Premier League game of Gameweek 2 sees Crystal Palace take on Manchester City at Selhurst Park.
Palace endured a disappointing opening weekend, losing 2-1 to Everton, while Manchester City produced an encouraging performance against Bournemouth despite initially falling behind. The city showed not only their quality in open play but also the mentality required to fight back and secure the result.
Based on what we saw in Gameweek 1, City looked considerably more convincing than Palace. We expect them to control this match and secure another three points.
Prediction: Crystal Palace 0-2 Manchester City
Liverpool 2-2 Nottingham Forest
Liverpool were fortunate to come away with all three points against Newcastle after a dramatic late winner, while Nottingham Forest suffered defeat in their opening match.
However, Forest have a manager in Oliver Glasner, who knows how to frustrate Liverpool. His teams have previously caused Liverpool plenty of problems, and Palace's success against the Reds under Glasner demonstrates his ability to develop a game plan for these major opponents.
Liverpool have home advantage, but their Gameweek 1 performance was far from convincing. With Forest desperate for a response, we expect another entertaining contest.

Bournemouth 3-1 Everton
Everton made an excellent start to the season by beating Crystal Palace, but Bournemouth also impressed despite ultimately losing to Manchester City.
Bournemouth showed plenty of attacking ambition and were capable of troubling City, which gives us confidence that they can cause Everton problems at home. Everton should make this competitive, but Bournemouth's attacking quality could prove decisive.

Coventry City 1-1 Hull City
Hull City produced one of the biggest surprises of Gameweek 1 by defeating Manchester United 2-0, while Coventry suffered a heavy defeat against Arsenal.
Despite those contrasting results, we expect a much tighter game than the opening weekend might suggest. Coventry should be determined to respond in front of their home supporters, while Hull will arrive with plenty of confidence.

Tottenham 2-2 Newcastle United
Newcastle were extremely unlucky not to get something more from their opening match against Liverpool, eventually losing after a dramatic late goal. Tottenham, meanwhile, suffered a heavy defeat against Brentford.
Both teams therefore have something to prove, and this could produce an entertaining encounter. Newcastle looked dangerous going forward in Gameweek 1, while Tottenham will need a significant improvement.
With neither side looking completely convincing defensively, we expect goals at both ends.

Chelsea 4-2 Brighton
Chelsea vs. Brighton could be one of the most entertaining fixtures of Gameweek 2.
Brighton favor an attacking style of football, while Chelsea's first Premier League game under Xabi Alonso was also extremely aggressive. The Blues produced an impressive attacking display against Fulham despite failing to keep a clean sheet.
Brighton may have enough quality to create problems, but Chelsea's attacking options should give them the edge at Stamford Bridge.

Leeds United 1-3 Brentford
Leeds secured a dramatic late victory against Nottingham Forest in their opening game, but Brentford were arguably one of the most impressive teams of the weekend after dismantling Tottenham.
Even with home advantage, Leeds face a difficult challenge against a Brentford side that looked extremely dangerous in attack. If Brentford reproduce anything close to their Gameweek 1 performance, they should have enough to take all three points.

Sunderland 2-2 Fulham
Sunderland suffered a heartbreaking defeat against Ipswich in their opening Premier League match, while Fulham put up a strong fight against Chelsea.
Fulham showed enough quality to suggest they can compete with established Premier League sides, but Sunderland should benefit from home advantage and will be desperate to respond after their opening-day disappointment.
We expect an open match, with both sides finding the net.

Manchester United 2-2 Ipswich Town

The final Gameweek 2 fixture sees Aston Villa host reigning champions Arsenal.
Villa are entering a period of significant change and transition under Unai Emery, with major players, including Ezri Konsa (who joined Arsenal), leaving, and the squad being reshaped. That could make it difficult for Villa to immediately find consistency.
