EPL/Premier League Predictions for Gameweek 5
Liverpool vs Everton
Liverpool haven't been so convincing so far but somehow manage to win games with their elite array of players. Everton, on the other hand, have been terrific so far under David Moyes. However, we predict luck to favour Arne Slot's men again in the Merseyside Derby.
Prediction - Liverpool 2-1 Everton
Burnley vs Nottingham Forest
Ange Postecoglou's Nottingham Forest side were destroyed 3-0 by Arsenal away. Despite that loss, we expect them to have a thumping victory against struggling Burnley to kickstart the Postecoglou era.
Prediction - Burnley 1-3 Nottingham Forest
Brighton vs Tottenham
Brighton and Tottenham are two solid teams that play exciting attacking football. Under Thomas Frank though, Spurs have been really solid defensively as well and we feel that gives them the edge here over Brighton.
Prediction - Brighton 1-3 Tottenham Hotspur
West Ham vs Crystal Palace
West Ham were brought back to earth after their surprising win over Nottingham Forest, as Tottenham thrashed them 3-0. We expect Olover Glasner's Crystal Palace side to beat them and Graham Potter to eventually get sacked.
Prediction - West Ham 0-2 Crystal Palace
Wolves vs Leeds United
Wolves are the only team in the Premier League yet to earn a single point, while Leeds United have performed much better than expected. We feel this game ends in a draw.
Prediction - Wolves 1-1 Leeds United
Manchester United vs Chelsea
Manchester United and Chelsea are two top teams that had disappointed results in the EPL last week. However, we expect Chelsea to bounce back here and inflict more misery on Ruben Amorim's side.
Prediction - Manchester United 1-3 Chelsea
Fulham vs Brentford
Fulham and Brentford are two sides that have failed to significantly bolster their team in the summer transfer window and yet still seem to be decent. We are going for a stalemate here.
Prediction - Fulham 2-2 Brentford
Sunderland vs Aston Villa
Unai Emery has had a nightmare start to the season at Aston Villa, while Sunderland continue to defy the odds. We predict Sunderland to continue their shocking run.
Prediction - Sunderland 2-1 Aston Villa
Bournemouth vs Newcastle
Bournemouth have been simply sensational under manager Andoni Iraola, but Newcastle now also seem like the real deal with their Alexander Isak replacement in Nick Woltemade. We expect a tight game with lots of goals.
Prediction - Bournemouth 3-2 Newcastle United
Arsenal vs Manchester City
Master vs apprentice, Pep Guardiola vs Mikel Arteta, this is what Arsenal vs Manchester city will be in a nutshell. With City looking like a shadow of their former self and having a tough and late UCL fixture against Antonio Conte’s Napoli, we feel Arsenal are heavy favourites here.
Prediction - Arsenal 3-1 Manchester City
That's it for our Premier League predictions for this week. Gameweek 5 promises to be one of the most entertaining and exciting gameweeks so far in the Premier League, so make sure not to miss it. Its goodbye for now then, We will be back for EPL predictions GW6.
