EPL/Premier League Predictions for Gameweek 8
Nottingham Forest vs Chelsea
Nottingham Forest have been terrible since Ange Postecoglou took charge of the club, while Chelsea under Enzo Maresca have been underperforming recently as well. It's a must win game for both sides, but we feel the Blues will win it and Ange gets the sack.
Prediction - Nottingham Forest 1-3 Chelsea
Sunderland vs Wolves
Despite their loss against Manchester United, Sunderland have been fantastic in the Premier League so far and have exceeded all expectations. Wolves, on the other hand, have been nothing short of a disappointment. We expect Sunderland to get back to winning ways.
Prediction - Sunderland 2-0 Wolves
Burnley vs Leeds United
Burnley vs Leeds United will be a classic game between 2 clubs in the Premier who will be competing against each other in a relegation battle towards the end of the season. This will be a very tight game we feel, and one that will end with both teams sharing a point each.
Prediction - Burnley 1-1 Leeds United
Crystal Palace vs Bournemouth
Crystal Palace and Bournemouth are 2 Premier League sides that have defied all the odds and have now established themselves as top sides who can beat any Premier League team on their day. Both clubs boast of outstanding managers and a fantastic side full of talented players. This one will undoubtedly be a really tight contest, and we think the home advantage might just help out Palace.
Prediction - Crystal Palace 2-1 Bournemouth
Brighton vs Newcastle United
Brighton vs Newcastle United is one of those games where we just expect goals, goals, and goals. However, the major key difference is that Newcastle are excellent defensively as well, which is not the case for Brighton. Thus, it's advantage Magpies from our side.
Prediction - Brighton 1-2 Newcastle United
Manchester City vs Everton
Manchester City vs Everton will be a game that focuses on Jack Grealish, who returns to the Etihad after being loaned by the club for his underwhelming performances. Grealish might have a point to prove, but Pep Guardiola's side are just too strong we feel, especially with Erling Haaland in such unstoppable form.
Prediction - Manchester City 2-1 Everton
Fulham vs Arsenal
Fulham have been quite unlucky in the Premier League so far, with few refereeing decisions going unfairly against them. However, Arsenal are simply at another level as things stand, and we expect nothing less than a win for Mikel Arteta's side.
Prediction - Fulham 1-3 Arsenal
Tottenham vs Aston Villa
Tottenham have been fantastic under Thomas Frank so far, while Aston Villa are slowly getting back to their best. This one will be a really exciting game, and one where we expect a lot of goals to be scored. Ultimately, we expect Spurs to have the last laugh though.
Prediction - Tottenham Hotspur 3-2 Aston Villa
Liverpool vs Manchester United
Liverpool vs Manchester United is officially the Premier League game of the week. Both Arne Slot and Ruben Amorim are under immense pressure due to their respective clubs' underwhelming performances, and both teams desperately need a win. Unfortunately for Ruben Amorim, we feel his side are set to suffer a massive loss.
Prediction - Liverpool 3-0 Manchester United
West Ham vs Brentford
Brentford have been decent so far in the Premier League, but with West Ham appointing Nuno EspĂrito Santo as their new manager and the Portuguese manager having the international break to plan things ahead, we expect a new manager bounce here.
Prediction - West Ham 2-1 Brentford
That's it for our Premier League predictions for this week. We will be back for EPL predictions GW9.
