Goalkeeper

Nick Pope (Newcastle United)

Nick Pope not only earned a clean sheet against Benfica, but even provided an assist as well. A perfect example of an excellent modern goalkeeper.

Defenders

Denzel Dumfries (Inter Milan)

Dumfries always shows up on Champions League nights, and the match against Union Saint-Gilloise was no different. It would be a shame if a player of his calibre doesn't make a bigger transfer move soon.

Gabriel Magalhães (Arsenal)

Gabriel continues to exceed all expectations and surprise us with each passing game. He is not only one of the best defenders in world football right now, but his terrorizing aerial threat from corners makes him one of a kind.

Virgil Van Dijk (Liverpool)

With Liverpool in a crisis phase, it was the captain himself who stepped up and provided a solid performance against Frankfurt. Virgil Van Dijk is not just a solid defender, but a born leader.

Nuno Mendes (PSG)

Nuno Mendes continues to mesmerize us with each passing game, and we're short of words right now to describe his extraordinary talent. Devastating both in attack and defense against Leverkusen.

Midfielders

Fermín López (Barcelona)

After his unforgettable hat-trick against Olympiacos, both the Barcelona board and fans must be relieved that the player didn't join Chelsea towards the end of the 2025 Summer Transfer Window. Undoubtedly a star in the making.

Martín Zubimendi (Arsenal)

The signing of Martín Zubimendi by Arsenal has so far been a masterstroke. Not only does he control their midfield exquisitely, but the Spaniard also gives extra licence for Declan rice to courageously go forward. Liverpool fans must certainly be feeling jealous.

Vitinha (PSG)

Vitinha has continued his golden run for PSG in the Champions League which began from last season. Nothing less than a midfield masterclass against Bayer Leverkusen. Much more of these will be needed from him for PSG to regain their European crown.

Harvey Barnes (Newcastle United)

Harvey Barnes was devastating in attack when Newcastle United faced Jose Mourinho's Benfica side at St. James Park. He scored a brace to help the Magpies emerge as victors. A great season could be ahead for him.

Forwards

Marcus Rashford (Barcelona)

Barcelona are enjoying an electric and outstanding Marcus Rashford that Manchester United would've just dreamed to have right now. Sometimes a change of clubs is all that's needed for a player to reach his true potential.

Viktor Gyökeres (Arsenal)

All it took was 3 minutes for Viktor Gyökeres to score a brace against Atlético Madrid. This might be the beginning of a rampant goalscoring run. All that Arsenal needs to do is now play to his strengths and track his movements properly.
