TOTW Gameweek 12 Premier League 2025-26

Welcome EPL fans, we are here with our Premier League Team of the Week for Gameweek 12. Epl GW12 was an absolutely entertaining one that saw Newcastle earn a surprising 2-1 victory over Pep Guardiola's Manchester City and Mikel Arteta's Arsenal destroying Spurs 4-1 in the North London derby. Let's not waste anymore time then, here is our EPL team of the week for Gameweek 12.

(Note: Players from Manchester United vs Everton won't be included in this list since it's a late fixture)

Premier League/EPL Team of the Week 12

Goalkeeper

Alphonse Areola (West Ham)

With a total of 6 saves and even an assist, Alphonso Areola stands tall over all others as our best goalkeeper in Premier League team of the week for Gameweek 12. Things could've been worse than a 2-2 draw for Newcastle if not for his heroics.

Defenders

Daniel Muñoz (Crystal Palace)

Daniel Muñoz showcased his excellence in both defense and attack in what was a brilliant 0-2 away victory for Oliver Glasner's Crystal Palace side against Wolves. Muñoz not only helped his side keep a clean sheet, but even scored a goal as well.

Maxence Lacroix (Crystal Palace)

25 year old French centre back Maxence Lacroix is having an outstanding season for Crystal Palace so far, to the extent where he's sometimes stealing the spotlight away from their captain Marc Guéhi. Lacroix was reliable in defense as usual and even made an assist in their victory over Wolves.

Murillo (Nottingham Forest)

The fact that Murillo is just 23 years old is quite surprising, and he could very well be one of the best in his position in a few years time. He was outstanding against Arne Slot's Liverpool's side, and even scored a goal as well to overshadow the likes of Virgil Van Dijk.

Neco Williams (Nottingham Forest)

Similar to Murillo, Neco Wiliams was another Standout player in Forest's surprising 0-3 thrashing of Liverpool at Anfield. He managed to grab an assist in the game, and also helped his side keep a clean sheet.

Midfielders

Enzo Fernandez (Chelsea)

Enzo Fernandez stepped up in the absence of Moises Caicedo for Chelsea, and even ended his solid midfield performance with a goal in the very end of the game. He's slowly reaching world-class levels with his current progress.

Bruno Guimarães (Newcastle)

Bruno Guimarães is a player that Pep Guardiola wanted to sign from Newcastle, but the club had refused to sell him. Guardiola probably understood why when they faced the Magpies, as the Brazilian midfielder was simply fantastic against the Citizens.

Yankuba Minteh (Brighton)

If Yankuba Minteh continues to progress at this rate, he could very well be the next big-money player sold by Brighton. A solid performance against Brentford which ended with 2 assists.

Morgan Rogers (Aston Villa)

Morgan Rogers has arguably displaced Ollie Watkins as the main man of Aston Villa, and you could see why Thomas Tuchel is most probably going to prefer him over Jude Bellingham for England.

Eberechi Eze (Arsenal)

The one player Spurs signed in the summer transfer window ended up inflicting the most damage for them in the North London derby. Eberechi Eze scored a hat-trick that he'll probably never forget in his life.

Forwards

Callum Wilson (West Ham)

Similar to Areola in goal, Callum Wilson was the hero for West Ham on the other end of the field. He scored a brace against his old club Bournemouth to help The Hammers earn a point
