Welcome to Gameweek 22 edition of Premier League team of the week. GW22 was a great one for top clubs such as Manchester United and Chelsea, while other big clubs such as Arsenal, Tottenham, Liverpool, and Aston Villa all had disappointing results. Another interesting fact of Gameweek 22 is that many mid-table team players performed brilliantly, and hence we've included them in our team of the week list. Premier League/EPL Team of the Week - Gameweek 22 (GW22)
Goalkeeper
Robert Sanchez (Chelsea)
With a total of 4 saves and helping his team earn a clean sheet, Robert Sanchez is our best goalkeeper pick for Premier League team of the week. He needs to build on this strong performance for future fixtures.
Defenders
Jake O'Brien (Everton)
Irish defender Jake O'Brien was fantastic in Everton's surprise 1-0 victory over Unai Emery's Aston Villa side. He helped his side keep a clean sheet in Villa Park, which is quite a big feat.
James Justin (Leeds)
Leeds star James Justin put in a solid performance in defense for Leeds against Fulham. It was a vital 3 points for the club, and Justin did his bit brilliantly.
Malick Thiaw (Newcastle)
Newcastle has had a mixed season so far, but Malick Thiaw has been one of their rare bright sparks this season. He was impressive against Wolves this week, which has also been the case the whole season so far.
Midfielders
Patrick Dorgu (Manchester United)
Many expected Patrick Dorgu to be benched in Michael Carrick's first game in-charge of Man Utd against Pep Guardiola's Manchester City. Not only did he start, but the Danish star scored as well
Mateus Fernandes (West Ham)
West Ham have had a horrible season so far, but their victory over Spurs has provided much needed relief for the club. Mateus Fernandes played a huge role in the win with a solid performance from midfield.
Bruno Fernandes (Manchester United)
Bruno Fernandes was back to his preferred No.10 position in the Manchester derby, and the result was seen on the pitch. The Portuguese was brilliant and inspired his club to a memorable win.
Florian Wirtz (Liverpool)
Arne Slot's Liverpool side have been struggling in the past few weeks, but Florian Wirtz is slowly getting better with each passing week. Things would've gone from bad to worse for Liverpool if not for his goal against Burnley.
Enzo Le Fée (Sunderland)
Enzo Fernandez was not even the best "Enzo" in Gameweek 22 of the Premier League. It was Enzo Le Fée of Sunderland, who scored a goal in their fantastic 2-1 win over Oliver Glasner's Crystal Palace.
Forwards
Brian Brobbey (Sunderland)
Brian Brobbey has officially displaced Wilson Isidor as Sunderland's No. 1 striker, and he's proved his manager right with fantastic performances. He was excellent against Crystal Palace.
Bryan Mbeumo (Manchester United)
Bryan Mbeumo made quite the impact in his first game for Man Utd since returning from the AFCON, as the Cameroonian scored his first ever Manchester derby goal.
