While UP Rudras’ owners withdrew just before the latest Hockey India League (HIL) auction, the HIL Governing Council (GC) has taken over the control of the team. Its official name at present is HIL Governing Council (GC), who finished in the fifth position last season as UP Rudras.
The retained squad value before the auction was more than INR 2.5 crore, as the HIL GC added four players from the auction, including one overseas forward.
