In the 17th match of the Men’s Hockey India League 2025/26 (Men’s HIL 2025/26), Ranchi Royals thrashed SG Pipers by 6–2, where the Belgian Tom Boon hit five goals.
Mandeep Singh started the goal galore for Ranchi Royals in the 13th minute with a field goal. In the 17th minute, Tom Boon put the Royals 2–0 ahead in the game by utilising the only penalty stroke of the match. Three minutes later, Argentine Tomas Domene scored for SG Pipers from a penalty corner.
The Welsh Gareth Furlong made the scoreline 2–2 for SG Pipers from a penalty corner in the 39th minute. However, that third quarter ended with a 4–2 scoreline for the Royals, as Tom added two goals to complete his hat-trick in the 40th and 41st minutes, both from the penalty corners.
In the last quarter, Tom added two more goals for Ranchi Royals. While he scored a field goal in the 50th minute, he also scored from another penalty corner in the final minute of the match.
Ranchi Royals moved to the fourth position in the points table with six points after four games, as they recorded their second victory in the season. SG Pipers are now in seventh place with four points after four games, with one win, one shootout loss, and two defeats.
