Spain's performances in men's FIH Hockey World Cup history
Spain finished as runners-up twice in their World Cup history (1971 and 1998), but they are yet to win this tournament. While Spain has qualified for every edition of the tournament, they haven’t qualified for the semi-finals for the last four editions; the best among those finished in fifth position in the 2010 edition.
Spain has qualified for the Men’s FIH Hockey World Cup 2026 by finishing in third place in the 2024–25 FIH Pro League, where the Netherlands won the league and Belgium finished in second position, but as both top two teams already secured their World Cup qualifications as the hosts, Spain claimed the spot.
