The Women's Football tournament in the 37th National Games will be played in Tilak Maidan, Goa with eight teams taking part. They have been divided into two groups of four teams in a single round-robin format. The top two teams of each group will qualify for the semi-finals of the competition. The group stages of the Women’s Football in the National Games 2023 will start on 27 October 2023 and end with the final next week on November 5, 2023.
Winners of the previous edition, Manipur are placed in Group A and will be aiming for their fifth Gold medal in this competition. They are joined by Senior Women's National Football Championship winners Tamil Nadu, West Bengal and Jharkhand. Silver medalists in 2022, Odisha FC will take on Chandigarh, Haryana and hosts Goa in Group B. The holders Manipur taking on Jharkhand kicks off proceedings in the National Games Women’s Football Tournament.
