The T20I World Cup is over and it is now time for the IPL to commence. The 2026 IPL will start from 28th March meaning the victorious Indian players will get 20 days rest after winning the World Cup. Sanju Samson – Chennai Super Kings
The batter that has taken the world by storm. He has become the player of the tournament in the recently concluded 2026 T20I World Cup. He made 97*, 89 and 89 in the three most important Matches of the tournament. He will play for Chennai Super Kings from IPL 2026 and the fans are very excited. He will open the batting and he will look to have a season exceeding 600 runs in the IPL. He will have players such as Ayush Mhatre, Dewald Brevis, Urvil Patel as backup. Sanju Samson is the potential replacement for MS Dhoni long term.
Vaibhav Suryawanshi – Rajasthan Royals
Everybody would be lying if they said that they are not excited to see Vaibhav Suryavanshi bat in the upcoming IPL. It has been a year since he made a mark last year and hit a century in 35 balls. Since then he has won the ICC Under 19 World Cup for India where he made a mind-blowing 175 in the Final. Vaibhav will look to become a superstar in the IPL and make a case to be in the Indian team. He will have Yashasvi Jaiswal as his opening partner yet again. Vaibhav will also look to show that he has matured in the past year and can play according to the situation even at 14 years old.
Finn Allen – Kolkata Knight Riders
Probably the most exciting overseas batter in the IPL will be Finn Allen who will play for Kolkata Knight Riders. Finn Allen showed the world what would happen when he played at the Eden Gardens as he smashed the fastest T20I World Cup century of all time. He absolutely dominated South Africa as he hit 100* in just 33 balls. Since then all cricket fans have been excited to see this dangerous batter play for KKR in the IPL. He will have Tim Seifert, Ajinkya Rahane, Rinku Singh and the others as the other batters.
Ishan Kishan – Sunrisers Hyderabad
Sunrisers Hyderabad have a lot of batters who could have been on this list. Abhishek Sharma is one and Travis Head is the other. However it is Ishan Kishan that will have the fans most excited as he has found the form of his life in the last 2 months. He has been one of the biggest match winners that India has seen and a key part of winning the World Cup. He made 317 runs throughout the World Cup. He made a brilliant Half century in the Final. Ishan Kishan will look to have a 500+ run season and continue his place in the Indian team.
Shubman Gill – Gujarat Titans
The captain of Gujarat Titans will be one of the batters that will be most watched and that the fans are excited about. He was excluded from the squad for the World Cup which would have hurt him deeply. Seeing India become World Champions would have given him happiness as an Indian but personally he wants to show everyone what he is capable of. He will look to have another season like the 2023 one where he scored almost 900 runs. Shubman Gill is also the captain of the Indian ODI team and he will look to gain confidence ahead of the grueling ODI season after the IPL.
