The Indian men’s 10m air rifle team brought the third medal at the Asian Games 2026, as the team won the third silver medal for India. The Chinese team broke their own world record to clinch the gold medal, while South Korea won the bronze medal.
While the previous world record was 1898.4 by the Chinese team, China scored 1899.0 at the Asian Games to set a new world record that guided them to secure the gold medal. Indian shooters, Himanshu Dhillon, Parth Mane, and Rudrankksh Patil, produced 1890.1 points, which helped the country to claim the silver medal.
Although Indonesia were fighting for the bronze medal and standing well till Series 5, Republic of Korea team turned the table in the final series to snatch the bronze medal. While Republic of Korea scored 1884.2, Indonesia managed to score 1882.5. The Korean team was in the sixth position after the first series but they impressively brought a medal for the country.
In the meantime, Indian shooters Rudrankksh Balasaheb Patil (631.8) and Himanshu Dhillon (630.0) reached the individual final after securing the third and seventh positions, respectively. However, Parth Mane failed to reach the final after his score 628.3 managed the 11th place.
