In a sudden progress, Scotland have earned the qualification for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, as they are ready for the tournament, which India and Sri Lanka are hosting from 7 February to 8 March, 2026.
Although Scotland failed to qualify for the tournament, due to having a better ranking among the non-qualified teams, they managed to replace Bangladesh for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, who refused to travel to India, citing players’ safety reasons.
As the replacement for Bangladesh, Scotland will start the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 journey from Group C. So they will play all their group stage matches in India. If they qualify for the Super 8 stage, they can play in India if they take up the West Indies’ position, but they will have to play in Sri Lanka if they replace England.
