The WWE will be coming to India later this year in September for a major event and the rumored date of that event is 9th September which is a Saturday so this could also be the PPV that WWE will hold but nothing has been officially announced yet. However the fans have started speculating as to what are the venues that could host this big event. And WWE would want the biggest event possible and have as many fans as they can.
There are a few venues that the WWE could look at to hold the event In India and the fans will come in large numbers to attend the show. So, let’s look at the most likely venues for the WWE event in India
1) Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium- Hyderabad
The most likely venue will be the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad because WWE were supposed to have a previous live event in Hyderabad so it very likely that they again have the event in the same city and the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium will be the perfect venue as it will be able to hold more than 50,000 fans and this will be one of the most attended shows of the year for WWE.
2) Narendra Modi Stadium- Ahmedabad
The second most likely venue and the venue that WWE should consider if they want to make the biggest impact is the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad which has a capacity for 132,000 fans and if that many fans attend the show them it will become the highest attended WWE show of all time and this record will never be broken. The atmosphere in this stadium and the sheer number of fans will motivate the wrestlers to give their absolute all and as a result the show will be much better.
3) Salt Lake Stadium- Kolkata
Since WWE likes doing their shows at football venues then the one which they can do a WWE show in is the Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata. This us the biggest football stadium in India and one of the biggest in the world and it has a capacity of 85,000 fans and this is the type of venues the WWE generally likes doing their shows in and if the reports are true that Roman Reigns will be at this show then the stadium will be full and the noise will be off the charts.
4) Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium – Kochi
This is the second football stadium In India where the WWE can do their event and this is also a big stadium with over 65,009 fans and this stadium has the atmosphere unlike anything in India. The fans in Kochi are some of the loudest in the country and the WWE will earn a lot of money from this show and they will be motivated to come back to India soon and not after 5-6 years.
5) Wankhede Stadium – Mumbai
The 5th and last venue in this list is the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai and this is at number 5 because of the reduced capacity it has as compared to the other venues but the main advantage is that it is in Mumbai and WWE loves doing events in Mumbai and Delhi and so this will be the perfect mix for them and the 33,009 fans that will be at the stands will make a lot of noise and the stadium is so breathtaking that the WWE superstars will be taken away from this experience.
