Worst WrestleMania Matches of all time

WrestleMania has had a journey of 40 years and not everything has been great. There have been matches in these 40 years of WrestleMania that have been absolutely horrible and they have been difficult to watch. It has gotten better over the last 5 years where the number of bad matches has significantly reduced. The hope is that no future Matches in WrestleMania are as bad as this list.

Top 5 Worst WrestleMania rematches?

The top 5 worst WrestleMania matches include Jerry Lawler vs. Michael Cole, The Miss WrestleMania Battle Royal, Kane vs. The Great Khali, Jake Roberts vs. Rick Martel, and Brock Lesnar vs. Goldberg. These matches were marred by poor execution, disrespectful treatment of wrestlers, and failed storytelling. Below check out the brief details about each match.

1) Jerry Lawler vs Michael Cole - WrestleMania 27

There is no other match in the history of WrestleMania that deserves this honor more than this abomination of a wrestling match. This match only happened because WWE wanted to give Jerry Lawler one match at WrestleMania. The feud was a good one and the build was good but the match was absolutely trash. There was no wrestling and it was a bad use of Stone Cold Steve Austin. It brought a bad name to WrestleMania and the anonymous general manager changed the result. And Michael Cole should not be anywhere near a wrestling ring.

2) The Miss WrestleMania Battle Royal – WrestleMania 25

Women’s wrestling has come such a long way ahead ever since this absolutely disrespect to women’s wrestling. WrestleMania 25 will always be remembered for having the best and one of the worst matches in WrestleMania history. This match started with a Kid Rock concert which was offensive to women. And the winner of this match was Santina Marrella who was a man in real life. How WWE gave the green flag for this trash at WrestleMania is beyond everybody. At WrestleMania 40 there will be multiple women’s matches at WrestleMania and all will be great.

3) Kane vs The Great Khali – WrestleMania 23

The only singles match that The Great Khali has had at WrestleMania was at 23 and it was one of the worst Matches of all time. Kane was a great wrestler but Khali did not know how to wrestle. He was a big star but he should not have been on the WrestleMania card. Kane tried his best to make Khali look like a star but it was even worse than The Undertaker vs Giant Gonzalez. Jinder Mahal was a much better wrestler and he should have a singles match at WrestleMania.

4) Jake Roberts vs Rick Martell – WrestleMania 7

This is an example of a feud being great and fun but the match spoiling everything. This was such a fun feud and they had the potential to do something special. They would have but the stupid stipulation was that they would have to be blindfolded. This took any chance of having a great match down the drain. They were able to see everything but they had to pretend. This was a prime example that the match has to compliment the feud.

5) Brock Lesnar vs Goldberg – WrestleMania 20

They redeemed themselves 13 years later at WrestleMania 33 when they had a 5 minutes banger. However this match at WrestleMania 20 when they both were supposed to leave WWE did not help. This match had Stone Cold Steve Austin as the referee. The crowd at MSG knew this and they booed throughout the match and the stars had a bad match. They both left WWE with a bad taste in their mouths at the time. This match was everything wrong about WrestleMania.
