The Unsanctioned Match is a type of match that has worked very well for them in the past. The most famous recent one is that of Johnny Gargano vs Tomasso Ciampa in the 2018 WrestleMania season. An Unsanctioned Match is typically a NO DQ Match but WWE will not take any responsibility for whatever happens during the match In storyline. The referee will only be there to count the pinfall and he cannot stop the two WWE superstars from destroying each other.

Drew Mcintyre vs Jacob Fatu just got Must See
The WrestleMania 42 Match that will get this stipulation is that of Drew Mcintyre vs Jacob Fatu. These two men had been feuding for close to 6 months and they have caused each other the WWE Championship, WrestleMania Qualifying matches and so much more. This all started when Jacob Fatu got attacked backstage by an unknown man and was taken out of action. When he returned Jacob accused Drew Mcintyre of being the one to take him out. Both these men went at it and the last straw was Jacob Fatu costing Drew Mcintyre the WWE Championship. After that all gloves were off.
Last week on SmackDown both these men brawled for the entirety of the 3 hours on SmackDown in the storyline. This has rarely happened and by the end of the night both men fell from the railing into the abyss. This was when Nick Aldis decided that enough was enough. On the most recent episode of SmackDown, both men cut a personal promo on each other as to how they will end the career of the other. Nick Aldis came out and he made the announcement of the Unsanctioned Match. This will mean that Drew Mcintyre and Jacob Fatu will be able to use all the weapons at their disposal and nobody can stop them. There can be blood that can be spilt and the announce tables are not safe.
This match needed a stipulation like this. The fans thought that it would be either a Last Man Standing Match or a Street Fight. However having this be an Unsanctioned Match is perfect. Only a certain number of feuds that go out of control require this dastardly stipulation. Drew Mcintyre is one of the most vicious heels as was seen in the Hell in a Cell Match against CM Punk. Jacob Fatu is known as the Samoan Werewolf so he will not have limits to which he can go in this match. This match needs to be 20 minutes so that the stipulation can have the time to play itself out and they have time to use all the weapons. There are still 3 weeks left and these two men now have a match to build towards and they will be wanting to up their game as there is competition to get better spots at WrestleMania 42.
