5. Glenn McGrath: 21 wickets

Australian right-arm pacer Glenn McGrath was one of the greatest pace bowlers of all time in international cricket history. He picked up 21 wickets in 12 matches, including one five-wicket haul. He was a key member of the Australian team when they first-time won the ICC Champions Trophy in the 2006 edition.


5. James Anderson: 21 wickets

English right-arm pacer James Anderson was one of the most successful bowlers in the tournament history. After 12 matches in the ICC Champions Trophy, he picked up 21 wickets. He was the joint second wicket-taker in the 2013 edition when England finished as the runners-up.


4. Brett Lee: 22 wickets

Former Australian right-arm fast bowler Brett Lee was mostly outstanding and dangerous with the ball in hand. He managed 22 wickets in 15 innings in his ICC Champions Trophy career. Lee was a key member of the Australian team when they won the trophy in back-to-back editions in 2006 and 2009.


3. Muttiah Muralitharan: 24 wickets

Sri Lankan off-spinner Muthiah Muralidaran is another legendary name on this list. In 15 innings of the tournament, Muralidaran collected 24 wickets, including two achievements of the four-wicket hauls. He was an important member when they jointly won the trophy in the 2002 edition with India.

With his popular unorthodox bowling action and powerful yorkers, the legendary Sri Lankan pacer Lasith Malinga left a special mark on white-ball cricket. The right-arm fast bowler picked up 25 wickets in 16 games of the tournament, including two four-wicket hauls.
