When Chennaiyin FC went 2-0 up past the half-hour mark through Petar Siliskovic grabbing his first goal for the club in ISL and El Khatayati rippling the net to give Mumbai City FC a disadvantage early in the game, few could have predicted the home side will capitulate from there is such a dramatic fashion. Only three points separate them from the top three in this tight table and a win could change the tide again. Chennaiyin FC have never lost a home game in this fixture winning the last one 4-1 and drawing the rest. The Nigerian has done business when his team faced Chennaiyin last time in the massive 4-1 win earlier this year and could use this match to cut his goal-drought short. The Red Miners have not moved from their ninth spot, wishing to do that with a victory against the Marina Machans. That will be their first at this ground having collected only two points in three meetings against the home team.
