With the end of another goal-heavy week, fans are slowly approaching the finish line. The big highlight was Manchester City's triumphant victory of Liverpool. Manchester United seems to have gained a lot of great footing after the continuation of the league and has been the most successful in the league in the last 8 games. It seems we have another great week to look forward to and have to prepare our fantasy picks accordingly.
Here are some players to consider in FPL this week:
#1. Bruno Fernandes(MID; Manchester United):
The Portuguese midfielder seems to have breathed new and much-needed life into Manchester United. He was arguably the star of their most recent match and his form currently has been impeccable. Manchester United will face Bournemouth, a team that has been struggling a lot despite being in competition for the top 6 at an earlier point in the league. He is going for 8.8 currently. While not inexpensive, it’s clear that he’s earning that price-tag in spectacular fashion.
#2. Riyad Mahrez (MID; Manchester City):
Having missed a fair chunk of the Liverpool game, it seems highly likely that Mahrez was rested to play the next game against Southampton. He has been quite the point-getter in the league. He goes for 8.5 and more often than not delivers with decent points. The game against Southampton is unlikely to subvert expectations given the sheer amount of quality players Man City has so there’s a lot of reasons to pick him.
#3. Lewis Dunk ( DEF; Brighton and Hove Albion):
Despite Brighton’s less than stellar performance this season, Dunk seems to have done well. The Defender goes for less than 5.0 and has managed 17 points in the last 3 matches. Combine that with the fact that he’s off to face bottom placed Norwich and it seems that potentially decent points are up for grabs.
#4. Martin Dubravka (GK; Newcastle United):
Newcastle are coming strong off a 4-1 victory against Bournemouth. Dubravka is one of the top keepers and is going for 5.1.The next opponents are West Ham. Despite the fact that they won against Chelsea they are one of the sides with some of the highest Goals Conceded and it’s unlikely they will be able to come out with a decent victory against Newcastle.
#5. Christian Pulisic (MID; Chelsea):
He’s going for 7.1 and has scored 22 points in the last 3 games. Impressive to say the least, especially considering that he pulled off 8 points in a loss. He’s in very good form. His price is very good and the Chelsea star is up against Watford, a team that is barely hovering above relegation. Too many odds in his and his team’s favour.
