FPL Gameweek 25 Captaincy choices and Differential Picks
FPL is always a battle of the right choices and in order to succeed it is always necessary to pick the right captain choice. Along with it, owning some differentials goes a long way in getting a green arrow. In Gameweek 25, there are a lot of potential options to choose from including the returning, Mohammed Salah.

Here we are without captaincy choices for gameweek 25:

1)  Bruno Fernandes – Manchester United vs Southampton, Manchester United vs Brighton

Captaining a double gameweek always makes sense and if the player is of Bruno’s quality, he should always be considered. The recent form of Manchester United does look worrying, but as we saw, the last time Manchester United had a double gameweek fixture, Bruno scored 3 in those games.

Also, after the draw against Burnley, United will be looking to react with a statement win against Southampton. Both of United’s fixtures this gameweek are at home which makes Bruno’s case more interesting.

2)  Riyad Mahrez – Norwich vs Manchester City

The Algerian impressed on his return from AFCON with a goal and an all-round performance. Manchester City travel to Norwich in gameweek 25 where Mahrez could be in for goals again. Another reason for Mahrez to be captained is the rotation risk for some of the other players like Kevin De Bruyne with their midweek Champions League fixture coming up.

Pep after the match also suggested that Mahrez will be on penalties for Manchester City which also suggests Mahrez’ s place in the 11. Against Brentford, Mahrez was withdrawn at 60 mins which guarantees him a start against Norwich.

3) Diogo Jota – Burnley vs Liverpool

With the return of Mohammed Salah, there could be the case of captaining him, but Diogo Jota is still the better choice. Salah could be a great option as well who will deliver but Jota with the form that he is in, should be in for another haul.

Against Burnley, Jota is expected to start on the left and drift in centrally, the same way he did against Leicester in second half. Jota has been in fine scoring form which makes him another captaincy candidate for this gameweek 25.

Differential Picks for Gameweek 25

1)  Marc Cucurella (4.1% ownership) vs Watford, Manchester United

The Brighton defender has been a bright spark for the Seagulls ever since his move from Spain. With the double gameweek looming for Brighton, Cucurella could be a great differential option. Brighton have been a tough defence to breakdown adding to it Cucurella’s attacking runs, he could be a punt.

At an ownership of 4.1%, Cucurella can provide a great option for the week only for the fact that he has 2 games compared to 1 for the others. The fixtures ahead for Brighton look decent as well, which makes him an option worth considering.

2) Diogo Dalot (4.1% ownership) vs Southampton, Brighton

Dalot might be a risky pick considering United’s defensive problems right now, however it could turn out to be a great one-week punt. Priced at only 4.6m, there are no negatives on getting Dalot in for a week. He could well turn out to be a cheap enabler for the likes of Cancelo, TAA and Digne.

In United’s last home game, they kept a clean sheet against West Ham. Both of their games this week are at home which makes the case of Dalot even more interesting. The Portuguese is currently owned only by 4.1% of FPL managers, and if United do well, Dalot could be the way to a green arrow.

3)  Michael Olise (0.7% ownership) vs Brentford

The Palace winger, listed as a midfielder in FPL has silently gone on to become one of the key players for his side. With 2 assists and a goal in his last 4 matches, Olise has become a player to consider in FPL.

Currently owned by only 0.7% of FPL managers, Olise could be a great pick for the game against Brentford while he will also be useful when Palace play Chelsea and Watford in double gameweek 26.
