fpl gw6 tips top 5 forward picks for gameweek 6 premier league 2021-22

The Gameweek 6 starts on Saturday with Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United and Aston Villa all in action at the same time. As the gameweek nears, so does the FPL deadline and the fantasy managers are planning to lock their teams in after the midweek cup fixtures. As we grow into the season ahead, the FPL Managers are getting an idea about which players to target along with the budget options.

Here we are with our top 5 forward picks for Gameweek 6:

1. Cristiano Ronaldo (£12.7m), Manchester United vs Aston Villa

Again, leading the list of our top forward picks is Cristiano Ronaldo, a player who is simply making it difficult for the FPL Managers to leave him out of the team. Starting at the ownership of 12.5, the forward has already seen a rise by 0.2 million and it will not be a surprise if he surpasses the 13 million marks.

Ronaldo has already scored 3 goals in his first 2 games and the Portuguese looks hungry for more. As seen in the recent years of his playing career, Ronaldo has been playing as a poacher which increases his chances of getting a goal. It has been visible in the first 2 games that he will be at the centre of what Manchester United do. A home game against Aston Villa means yet another chance for Ronaldo to increase his tally. One of the popular captaincy picks, Ronaldo is a must-have in this week and the season ahead.

2. Michail Antonio (£7.9m), Leeds United vs West Ham United

Michail Antonio will return this gameweek after serving his 1 game ban due to the red card received against Southampton. The striker has been one of the in-form players from the start of Premier League. Antonio with 4 goals and 4 assists is one of the top picks for this gameweeks.

The Jamaican international has seen a remarkable rise of 0.4 million in just 5 game weeks which proves the need to have him in the team. A fixture against wounded Leeds United provides another chance for Antonio to resume his form again. The forward can also be one of the differential captains for Gameweek 6.

3. Jamie Vardy (£10.4m), Leicester City vs Burnley

Jamie Vardy has been an unpopular pick in the first 5 gameweeks owing to his and Leicester City’s poor form. However, Vardy can never be kept out game and this might be fixture where fortunes turn for Leicester and Vardy. The 10.4 million priced asset will be looking forward to the game against defensive Burnley.

The Clarets have not been in the best of form, much to the similarity of the hosts but the star names in the Leicester side including Vardy gives them an edge over the away side. Vardy is a differential pick now and could be a great punt for a week or two.

4. Allan Saint-Maximin (£6.7m), Watford vs Newcastle

This is yet another low-owned asset which could prove to be the difference in this gameweek. After a brilliant performance against Leeds United where Maximin got a goal, he looks set for more. The forward has 2 goals and assists to his name this season in an average Newcastle side.

The fixture against Watford is yet another chance for Maximin to increase his goal tally with Watford not being the best of the defensive sides in the Premier League. The player is currently owned by 12.1% of managers however, he has been the 3rde most forward to be transferred in after the last gameweek.

5. Neil Maupay (£6.5m), Crystal Palace vs Brighton

Brighton have been one of the impressive sides in the early PL run-in. The Seagulls currently sit 4th in the Premier League table owing to their brilliant display. Neil Maupay has been one of the key reasons for their position having scored 3 goals in the first 5 games.

A match against Crystal Palace presents Maupay with a great chance to increase his goal tally. Palace have not been the best side defensively, with the Eagles still settling in under new manager Patrick Vieira. Maupay, owned by only 2.5% of managers, could be a great differential for this gameweek.
